Spags Doesn't Rule Out Rams Pursuing Moss
Per Rotoworld:
I wouldn't mind this at all quite frankly. He was nothing but good in Tennessee, even taking on a blocking role w barely any stats. Didn't really complain.Speaking at the Combine Thursday, coach Steve Spagnuolo didn't rule out the possibility that the Rams might pursue free agent Randy Moss.
The Rams strongly considered claiming Moss when he was waived by the Vikings last season. "Anybody that’s been in his system becomes a little bit attractive," said Spags. The "system" Spagnuolo referred to is new OC Josh McDaniels'. It sounds like McDaniels has the go ahead to pursue Moss if he so chooses. And if it's approved by GM Billy Devaney, of course
Plus this makes us much less handcuffed if Julio and AJ are gone. Much less pressure on Devaney and Spags. Can pick up a solid defender at the 14 spot.
Given it was with a New England team that was much more experienced but Randy Moss did break multiple records with McDaniels.
Who wants em? I say bring em in with a reasonable 1-2 year deal.Last edited by THOLTFAN81; -02-24-2011 at 12:42 PM.

I would kick the tires he had his best year in his prestigious career under McDanels. If he tries he can be a dominate player hopefull McD can motivate him.

Re: Spags Doesn't Rule Out Rams Pursuing Moss
He isn't that good anymore. He was a speed guy that lost a step or 2 and didn't bulk up during the last few years.
Other than working with DX I can't see a positive for bringing him in next season. If you put him on the best teams he is only a 500 and 5 TD guy.....we have plenty of them....no thx

Re: Spags Doesn't Rule Out Rams Pursuing Moss
I wanted Moss thirteen years ago, I wanted him seven years ago, I wanted him five years ago, I wanted him in the middle of last season, and yeah, I still want him now.
Would be interesting to see how much sway McD has over bringing him in. Sure he isn't the same player as he was four years ago, but he is a veteran who knows his system, not too many of those floating around.
Straight Cash Homey!

Re: Spags Doesn't Rule Out Rams Pursuing Moss
If he would show an ounce of maturity and produce like he did as recently as '09, I'd be fine with it. But his '10 production was practically non-existent though playing a full season, and I've yet to see any maturity out of this 34-year-old.

i think i`ll save my energy for the "Plaxico "Polo Leg" Burress released:Rams should pursue him" thread..that will surely come in the near future.

Re: Spags Doesn't Rule Out Rams Pursuing Moss
I wish there was a way we were guaranteed one of AJ Green or Julio, because I want one of them to really grow up with Sam in this league. Seeing as how that is as far a guarantee as anything, I really would be happy with the signing of Moss. I still think we would need to address wide receiver in round 2 though.

Re: Spags Doesn't Rule Out Rams Pursuing Moss
First off even if Jones and Green are gone we are not hand-cuffed because there are still some good tall WRs left in Baldwin, Little, Hankerson that will be available in the 2nd.
I say no on Moss. He is not going to accept a 1 year deal because itz the story of his career. He will be good for a team for the 1st year or 2 than just give up. Last year he gave up before he was even claimed by the titans. Also we really dont need him to provide poison in out locker room. We have some young wide receivers we dont need Moss to teach them how become divas.

Holtfan, you are not the only one who starts threads promoting old players with poor character.

Re: Spags Doesn't Rule Out Rams Pursuing Moss
you know I'd without a doubt Agree with Moss over TO and the Plax...
but not preferrably.
Would prefer a younger more solid experienced guy.... Jackson or Rice even Holmes or Edwards.

Nothing but good in Tennessee? He may have been quiet off the field, but he was also very quiet on the field while in Tennessee, and Minnesota for that matter.
