Re: Steelers to present Trade Package to Rams?
Is anyone else getting that bad feeling... ???????????
I am starting to get the feeling that Sam Bradford is turning into Eli Manning and will force a trade to Pitt, Clev, etc...
Our bad track record, paired with unclear ownership, and etc,.....could create a huge problem over this weekend....
What do you guys think ? ???
I am starting to worry things are gonna be really tought for the Rams...

Re: Steelers to present Trade Package to Rams?
While I'm sure there's a lot of genuine disgust with Big Ben's behavior, I think it's easy to overestimate how much the official Steeler public relations dept-driven outrage will affect his actual status in Pittsburgh, especially now that he seems to have avoided the criminal action.
I could see them picking up a vet to help out if he's suspended but not dumping him in the prime of his career.
And since when do the ultra-methodical Steelers sell the draft farm for a single player?

Re: Steelers to present Trade Package to Rams?
LOL! Ha-ha-ha, good one. And I too believe this is one of those fun, off-season speculative threads. No problem with that.
A trade package from Pitt for the next few days ... 'possible ' only because there are some static dark clouds over their team right now, even some lightning; but rain is just too unlikely, i.e., chance of precipitation: 5%. Cold front coming in over Steeler country will most likely freeze and terminate any favorable probabilities.
That's the latest weather report from your ClanRam Weather Wizzard in STL.

Re: Steelers to present Trade Package to Rams?
so long as it didn't include Rapenstein, I'd listen to any and all offers for the #1.

And I'd question Devaney's management skills if he did it not similar to the Jay Cutler situation.

Re: Steelers to present Trade Package to Rams?
If we get Big Ben we will need the Steelers to throw in a couple of get out of jail cards in the deal. Once a serial rapist always a serial rapist.

Re: Steelers to present Trade Package to Rams?
I saw a report on NFL.com where this is discussed. This will not happen under any circumstances. We all know how journalists love to kick stuff like this around, even they were skeptical.
We still don't know how this thing is going to play out and we don't have enough time to allow the story to develop before the draft. There are way too many question marks surrounding Ben to make any sort of move for him.
