There are rumours circulating that LB Stephen Cooper of the San Diego Chargers will be released this offseason.

I think he could be a tremendous pick up for the right price.. of course this all depends on the draft direction, if an OLB is picked up in the first round this acquisition doesn't make much sense.

Chargers play the 3-4, it's most likely he won't be effective playing in our system.

At 30+ yrs old & with two creaky knees, I don't see him as a much more attractive option than the current guys on the roster.With Hull, Vobora, Chamberlain, Diggs, and Grant as the depth/STs options, I think The Rams need a young alpha dog to co-lead the LB pack with Lau.

I'm also starting to wonder if we aren't all off-base with our concern about the OLB position, given how seemingly easily The Rams let Atogwe go. Maybe it's a safety issue as much as anything.

He turns 32 in June and isn't exactly an ideal fit transitioning to a 4-3 defense. So I'm going to go with no thanks.

his best two qualities are playing inside in a 3-4 (as already stated) and reading what the offense are doing then calling audibles to adjust to that. neither one of those qualities are what we are looking for at OLB.
he is a quality player tho..just not what the doctor ordered.
