Stephen Davis likely to hit the market?
Adam Caplan (NFL writer and editor at foootballinjuries.com) is reporting that a team source in Indy claims that Rams running back Stephen Davis is not likely to resign with the team prior to the start of free agency. Something to keep an eye on...

Re: Stephen Davis likely to hit the market?
in a post earlyer today , linehan was quoted as saying that davis's knee's couldn't hold up any longer , and couldn't even do training camp, but would try him back at a lesser role, he had 40 carries and 177 yards, i'm not sure what that means , anything lesser and he's the mascot. i hope his knee's could take the season, he is a quality player and person, but i don't think he is here at the start of the season, and that is too bad.

Re: Stephen Davis likely to hit the market?
Maybe we'll look at a running back in the draft now, such as Lorenzo Booker? or someone of that sort to help out Jackson and be a change of pace back.

Re: Stephen Davis likely to hit the market?
They need to bring in a free agent or draft pick because great running backs have run out of gas without a compliment back to go with them.

Re: Stephen Davis likely to hit the market?
He's a restricted free agent that's likely going to get a high tender offer. Meaning you're going to have to trade a first day pick, probably no later than the second round, to get him. Thanks but no thanks.

Re: Stephen Davis likely to hit the market?
Thoughts, probably a long shot.Patriots released Corey Dillon.
The veteran joins a crowded free agent market at running back. The 10-year veteran could be a fine short-yarage back for a team like the Jets or Ravens, but he may see himself as a starter. Dillon leaves New England with the franchise record for yards in a season with 1,635 in 2004. Mar. 2 - 3:12 pm etJUST WIN ONE FOR THE FANS

Re: Stephen Davis likely to hit the market?
toefield or even james mungro, could be a real good fit, and the costs i think would be very minimal, and both have a good game. mungro backed up james in indy, and did a great job.

Josh Scobey is a very good kick returner, we could go after him...
