Dr. Defense - will become famous soon enough
Survivor: Rams defensive line

Well we currently have 3 defensive positions open and we have 15 defensive lineman either under contract or we brought them to camp. They include

Players from last year, or added in free agency
-Leonard Little
-Eric Moore
-Trevor Johnson
-La'Roi Glover
-Claude Wroten
-Tim Sandidge
-Jimmy Kennedy
-Jason Fisk
-Victor Adeyanju
-James Hall

Drafted Linemen
-Adam Carriker
-Clifton Ryan
-Keith Jackson

Brought into Camp
-Ryan Willis
-Alton Pettway

So with so many men and so few spots who do you think stays and who goes? Obviously some of these guys are going to be camp bodies, but not all of them can be. Who do you invision starting this season, who will be depth/retoating in, and who will be watching from their couch/playing for someone else.

Re: Survivor: Rams defensive line

I am not sure how many they plan to keep, but I like: Little, Glover, Wroten, Kennedy, Adeyanju, Hall, Carriker, Ryan and Jackson.

Simply because I see limitted upside with the rest and don't recall their contibutions. Fisk & Johnson would be a bubble players.

IMHO

<ADDED> In the case that only eight DL make the roster, I would expect the folowing: Either Ryan or Jackson go PS or Kennedy doesn't make the team.

The last I read was that the Rams were going to keep 8 d-lineman. So one of your 9 has to go. Ryan or Jackson?

Yes he did, smizzie. BTW the Trevor Johnson listed isn't the same one that The Texans drafted over A. Barron, is it? If not, then what is his bio?

Re: Survivor: Rams defensive line

Little, Wroten, Kennedy, Hall, Carriker, Adeyanju, Glover, Ryan, Jackson. If they keep 8, Jackson will go to practice squad.If both Ryan and Jackson look really good then I see Glover as the odd man out unless they can somehow trade Kennedy.

Impossible to predict until we can see them.

But I can give you a best case fantasy scenario:

* pettway comes through and becomes a rush end behind hall

* ryan and jackson come through

* carriker and wroten step up

* they put adeyanju behind little

* they keep 9 instead of 8

* hall, pettway
* <carriker>, wroten, glover
* <carriker>, ryan, jackson
* little, adeyanju

Oh and I hit the lottery.

Re: Survivor: Rams defensive line

the rams are pushing a youth movement , even the veterans they oicked up where under 30 years old . so i see the 8-d-line players as this .

DE's - LITTLE
HALL
ADEYANJU
TREVOR JOHNSON

DT's- CARRIKER
WROTEN
KENNEDY
RYANS

developmental squad - SANDIDGE / OR JACKSON .
this is based on sandidges past
year on the squad and his developement. and how jackson does at camp , and how much of an impact he makes.

That would be Travis Johnson with the Texans.

Starters-
DE-Little and Hall
DT-Adam Carriker and Claude Wroten
Backups-
DE-Victor Adeyanju and Ryan Willis
DT-Clifton Ryan ,Keith Jackson,and Glover.
Except for Little everyone else should be rotated on plays so they will be fresh, reason for this is our lack of talent on th D-line. Players can then make plays on hustle instead of athletic ability. I know we will not start or play that many rookies but if the other option is last years lineup(:\ :\ :\ ) then we know we are going to suck, so why not give the rookies a shot? If we unable to stop the run last year with the players we started then we should try something different.
