Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
He is still one of the best pass rushers in the game..even at his advanced age. Last year Jason suffered from a leg injury in preseason and never fully recovered and had just 3 and a half sacks. in 2007 he had 10 sacks and put major heat on quarterbacks.
Jason ages like Strahan..he still has it and would be a good 1-2 year signing to help jump start Spags defense.
He might cost 7 mil per. He will probably end up in TB,but the Rams should give him a look.
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
Anytime a talent like Jason Taylor is available you have to give him a look but DE is just not a big hole for us to spend on right now. Plus when we do pick one up we need to get one that is young and can learn from and eventually replace Little.
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
if we were gonna sign a vet i think it should've been ray lewis or bdawk
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
The only way we bring in Jason Taylor is if the Rams get rid of DE L. Little.
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
I wouldn't mind signing Taylor on a short term deal if we have the cap room.
If Holt is let go, which looks likely, we should have room to spare... so why not?
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
No way, let him go elsewhere.
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
Jason Taylor has acted like a girl since he left Miami. Let him go model, stay away from STL.

A look? Yes. However, it takes two to tango; and I don't see the rebuilding Rams as an attractive destination for a veteran on his last legs just wanting to win.
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
Did he look like one of the best pass rushers in the game last year? Do you see any evidence to suggest that football is his first priority right now? The guy got cut in part because he wouldnt come to off season workouts preferring to spend time with his family. I have no issue with that personal choice, but it doesnt make him a good fit for the rams. As others pointed out, he is redundant to little and little is a better player at this point.
What is it with the idea that every time a player gets cut who was great in the past people want to sign him. Where are the cap dollars coming from to accomplish this magic. How can anyone think that jason taylor is going to add more to this team than either pace or holt, given that we have no experienced alternatives at either receiver or offensive tackle except other free agents that we will pay market or above market rate for.

Ahhh...I was wondering who would be the first with a reference to Dancing with the Stars.
Pass
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
I would like to go younger and he wants to play for a winner and we are not on the edge of getting that done.
Re: Take a Chance on Jason Taylor
Younger is the way too go, tired of hehashed, injured overpaid players.

We're not in short term mode. All the team's moves should be made from a long term standpoint.
