tampa signs rhonde barber to a one year deal

Tampa signed barber (a certain hall of famer in my mind) to a one year deal. I wonder if that impacts a decision as to them potentially drafting Claiborne. I have the utmost respect for Barber. The guy has been a great competitor for a long period of time, plays clean football, and has been a great representative of that organization, through good times and bad.

In fact that signing might have been done to help Claiborne make the transition.

The one year deal actually makes it look like they are aiming to get Claiborne.

Ronde Barber has a wealth of knowledge, and if I was Tampa, having my stud rookie CB learn behind a great seasoned vet in Barber for a year would be a great move for the investment.

yep- that means they still are going to need a CB given that Rhonde Favre says he wont be back next season, plus they still have to deal with the talented but troubled Tariq on the other side as well.
