On friday I was at a sports bar drinkin beer for my buddys birthday and around the whole bar there was a big ticker that gave mlb, nba and nfl news. It said that the Rams are discussing a trade with Denver for Scheffler and are close to an agreement. Ive been looking on NFL.com and around here and noone has mentioned anything about it. Any news?
I am really hoping the trade goes through.

It said that the Rams are discussing a trade with Denver for Scheffler and are close to an agreement.

I've not seen it reported anywhere that actual discussions are taking place, so if that's what was really said, then I'd say it's inaccurate. All that's really been said to my knowledge about Scheffler and the Rams was this from a recent Jim Thomas chat:

Playmaker: Do you know if the Rams are interested in a trade to aquire TE Tony Scheffler for the Broncos? He had some good years in Mike Shanahan's West Coast System, he has good speed, and has a good yards per catch avg for his career (13.7). I think he would be a great addition to the Rams.

Jim Thomas: If they're not, they should be. For whatever reason Scheffler and McDaniels didn't click, but people I talk to in Denver, say Scheffler isn't a problem player. I think Denver wants to move Scheffler nonetheless, and probably would take less than the second rounder he would fetch with an original tender as a second-round draft pick.
