Ted Ginn Jr --- See Teddy run!!!
This guy is IMPRESSIVE -- oh, and he's fast too ... Let us hope the Whiners don't draft him -- would hate to be chasing him around twice a year as a receiver and kr/pr specialist ...

Re: Ted Ginn Jr --- See Teddy run!!!
A business associate of mine who has been a maniac ohio state fan for 30 years claims that while blazing fast, ginn is a lousy route runner who is going to make some big plays but have problems in the nfl interesting data point.

Re: Ted Ginn Jr --- See Teddy run!!!
That's my concern as well. Ginn is amazing when you get him the ball in the open field (as evident by his talent as a return man) or when he's running a go route down the field and beats his opposition. There's no question that when he gets the ball in his hands or when he is asked to just flat out go, he can make things happen.
But the NFL is about more than fly routes and screens. How long is it going to take Ginn to master the deep in patterns that Ram WRs are famous for? Will he ever be a player that is capable of gaining separation through precise route running ala Isaac Bruce, or will his ability to gain separation always be limited to his explosiveness and speed? Will he have problems fighting jams at the line at the next level, and to expand on that, how much will he contribute as a blocker in the running game? Furthermore, if the Rams are tired of shorter 6'0" and under receivers, why is Ginn even an option?
There are a lot of questions that have to be answered regarding Ginn if the Rams are going to look at him in round one, though I admittedly am not as high on him as some.

I dont think we will take him even if he is around at 13. However, depending on what we do in free agency, if Jarrett is available, it is going to be very tempting at 13 for a number of people.

Re: Ted Ginn Jr --- See Teddy run!!!
I love the potential of Ginn and what he brings to the table. His attack mentality and innate abilities on returns are something special and don't come along often. While he may need work as a receiver, I can't think of a better place to learn than with the Rams under the tutelage of two of the best route runners in the business.
That said, I'm just not sure we have the luxury of drafting him in the first round.

Re: Ted Ginn Jr --- See Teddy run!!!
Icant believe im actually saying this about a Buckeye but, Ted Ginn Jr is Amazing! But he is someone the Rams shouldnt take... Defense is the main point right now before free agency, If the rams get some great defensive players in free agency, I wouldnt cry if the Rams selected him with the 13th pick

Re: Ted Ginn Jr --- See Teddy run!!!
I will say this IF we address our D needs in FA and he is the best player in the board, I would not pass on him. I would not take a Defensive player with less up side just to fill a need. We do have big time needs for a P&KR.
That being said its a long shot we dont go D in the first round, due to lack of FA pick ups, just too many hole still remain on the D.
