Neil Stratton, of Inside the League, reports that the Houston Texans, as rumored previously, will swap first-round draft picks with the Denver Broncos in this year's NFL Draft Friday, April 27, in exchange for Denver's second-round pick, No. 56 overall. With the Texans' first- and second-round picks, the team is considering four players: Utah FS Eric Weddle, Ohio State WR Anthony Gonzalez, USC WR Dwayne Jarrett and Florida S Reggie Nelson.

The Broncos would select Mississippi LB Patrick Willis with the No. 10 pick in the draft.

Updating ongoing reports, ESPN's John Clayton reports a trade between the Houston Texans and any other team will not happen Friday, April 27. If anything is going to happen, it would take place during the NFL Draft Saturday, April 28.Last edited by Rambos; -04-27-2007 at 05:12 PM.

The draft values don't add up. Houston is being shorted a third rounder in this scenario.

i forgot the Broncos had lost Al Wilson, it makes sense for them to do this
