For Those Of You Who Want Suh With The First Pick.....

Who would you take if for some reason Suh withdrew from the draft? No trade down scenarios. There's no time time left on the clock and it's time to make a decision with the first pick. Who do you go with?

You know, this was the first thought that came to mind for me, but his shoulder is an issue I'm having trouble getting around, especially when we're talking the #1 pick.

For whatever reason, I'm having a difficult time making a definitive choice in this scenario.

Probably Gerald McCoy. Just don't see a current draftable QB as worth the #1 overall.

McCOY I am not high on anyone QB going 1 overall to, I wounder if Bradford might fall from his projected spot to the Skins The Skins new coach was giving a lot of praise to Jason Cambell and he is a young guy.

No, I'm 100% for Suh. Taking him out of the equation though, I'm inclined to agree with you on Gerald McCoy, as well as the QB value issue. The lines are so critical to the success of any good team, when a guy like McCoy is there for the taking, I'd most likely pull the trigger on him.

McCoy, Bradford, Clausen.........hmm. If I knew that Bradford's shoulder checks out, I might go with him. Otherwise McCoy would be my default answer.

I'll go with the guy I would have drafted last year, Sam Bradford. Ditto to what everyone else is saying about the shoulder of course. Something about Jimmy Clausen doesn't sit right with me. I don't know what it is, I am not a scout, nor have I watched any of his games closely, but I'll stick with Bradford if there isn't a boy named Suh.

I'm curious, AV.........is that because of a desire for Morgan (who, I agree, seems to receive far too little consideration for what his talents and potential should demand) or an aversion of McCoy (which I sense has been building in you)?

Its not that I dislike McCoy. Its more about my desire for playmakers and, in particular, pass rushers. After Suh, I think the player who would improve the Rams pass rush the most is Morgan. I also think Morgan is a perfect fit in Spags "move the DL around situationally" approach, as he was used on both sides of the line at GaTech.

I guess I'd have to take Dez Bryant and hope for the best. If he becomes our #1 go to guy, it'd be worth it. He doesnt have to become a Randy Moss to make a huge impact.
