    A thought on Blackmon

A lot of us around here have been coveting Blackmon for many reasons. One of the reasons i have been debating on the past few weeks.

    He fits our system....

Well i suppose we can all agree for the most part that he does fit McD's offensive.

But what if McD isnt back next year and we bring in a new system, or a WCO system? Will he fit just as good or would a Jefferies or Floyd be better suited at that point? just something ive been pondering.

    Thoughts?

If I remember correctly, I think Blackmon's strengths play to a wco very well. Good route running, agility and short distance speed fit very nicely. Wasn't one of the few knocks on Blackmon his straight line or deep threat speed?

Well if he fits WCO as well then that works for me. and yes, the only knocks are his straight line speed.

Straight line speed to me is very overrated honestly.Yea he might not be Djack or mike wallace fast but he has enough speed and is smart enough to blow by coverage so thats good enough.

I think Blackmon would fit in pretty much any system.
