    Thoughts on Walter's latest.

Over at Walters they have us taking with a trade from the Falcons

    1st
    6 Sam Watkins WR
    13 Darqueze Dennard CB

    2nd
    37 Morgan Moses OT
    44 Dion Bailey S

Not so sure I like this. At 13 Taylor Lewan is still available according to the mock and I think we would take him, or if Not HA HA.

If we do go Ha Ha at 13 I am good with Moses since people seem high on him. Even have the guy as a sleeper first rounder. 2nd issue though is at 44 Bailey USC's S. The grip is right after us Taking Bailey Fuller comes off. No way do I take Bailey over Kyle Fuller. Heck even if we did go with Dennard, its been said that Fuller would make one hell of a Safety.

If we went Lewan at 13 I would still take Fuller at 44 but the change would be 37. Gabe Jackson would be a good choice. Long Jackson Wells Saffold Lewan would be a pretty damn good line.

We have a legit no. 1 WR a solid line, a Really Good CB that could stay or be convertd to a damn good FS. Pretty good start to the top of the draft, IMO.

Some interesting thoughts Turbo, I liked Charlies Draft a bit better than Walter's and Lewan is definately one of my fave guys in this draft. Also I like Bailey as I feel he would have great chemistry with TJ as a safety tandem. Wonder if Watkins really slips to 6 not many see that happening... And many have major doubts we take a reciever early on in this draft. Just some of what I think, we will have to wait a few more weeks yet to see! LOL

    1st

    13 Darqueze Dennard CB

I did a First-Pick draft this weekend and my selections were Watkins at #8 and Dennard at #13. Dennard is a terrific CB. You take elite talent over filling needs.

I'm assuming that the Rams received more than just a second round pick to move from No. 2 to No. 6.

As for the picks, overall, I think they're okay, though I'm not sure I'd take Bailey that high.

I would be interested to learn why Walter's has Watkins at #6 because if he's there "I'll eat my hat". Presumably there must be some QB selections in there between #1 and #5 for this to happen. From what I've been reading the Rams may be higher on Evans than Watkins. Certainly would take either.

Bailey at #44 is too high. This isn't a great safety draft, but that means he could be going ahead of Bucannon or Brooks or Ward. That's a head scratcher.

    Go Rams!

If the Rams don't go OT in the first round, then Moses is about as good as you can hope for in the second, if you think he can play LT at the pro level.

Bailey is at least a round too early for my taste.

Dennard is a great pick; he's still my personal top corner.

Watkins in the first is fine. I'd still prefer a tackle, and I don't know that I buy the hype of him being on an AJ Green level, but he'd definitely be a good weapon on the outside. It'd be fun to see an offense with he and Tavon, if Schotty can get there too.

It would be fantastic if he did get AJ Green's numbers AND consistantcy. I, because I don't follow the Bengals very closely, thought what is the big deal about AJ Green. Calvin Johnson is a wrecking machine, but AJ Green, who cares. I went to the Bengals site to check his stats. I thought my browser wasn't updating when I wanted to switch from 2013 to 2012 because I kept seeing almost identical high number. Wow, that guy is a beast and consistant as heck.

So if we got Watkins after all and turned into AJ or better. Smiles all around!

Dennard is starting to drop according to what I've been reading. His short arms make him too grabby for the NFL officials, so expect a few penalty flags if he's selected. I like his toughness but he may fall into the late first/early second round if a team doesn't feel his technique can be changed.

What up with the Schotty reference? Consider me amused!

    Go Rams!
