Re: Top 2009 NFL Free Agents

I live in Indy and watch the Colts regularly. I have to say that they are a totally different offense when Saturday is in the game. Our O-Line would be significantly better with him or Birk in the middle. Saturday may have less of a price on his head so he would be my choice but I don't think we could go wrong with either one.

Defensively, we have got to take a strong look at the available MLBs. Resigning Atogwe is also a must.

    JORDAN GROSS -OT/ PANTHERS , JASON BROWN -C/ BROWNS , ROBIN COLE - DT/PACKERS , SEAN JONES-SS/ BROWNS or JERMAIN PHILLIPS-SS/ BUCS .

i could be pretty happy with these 4 guy's in FA .

Karlos Dansby 6' 4", 250lbs, 28 years old. I know he plays WLB for the Cardinals. I would move him to MLB. The Cardinals have Kurt Warner and Anquan Boldin up for 2009. Signing Dansby could be a problem for the Cards.

I want to see us go after Dansby!

How can we afford these players mentioned? We only have 8 million in cap room.

We will have to restructure existing contracts and cut players to free up more money. I think it will happen.

    Go Rams!

Well it's too hard to pick just one considering all the rams needs !! But I would have to say Albert Haynesworth is the most lucrative name on the list. If (and thats a big if) the rams were able to sign him he would instantly make the defense alot better, he would draw double teams which would allow the DE's to get to the quarterback.
Also bringing in a tough gritty vet like jeff Garcia would be great idea. Actually please bring in some QB I've seen all I want to see of BULGER.
Ricky Williams would be a nice 3rd down back behind jackson.

I agree that would be a move by the old rams. Were trying to turn this thing around. Signing another old FA would not be smart.

Devaney has mentioned on the radio that the Rams aren't signing guys on the downside of their career. They are looking for free agents who are in search of their second contract.

I think for Guard you would be looking at Jason Brown or Jahri Evans
DT might be Colin Cole, Gabe Watson or Tank Johnson
OT might be Stacy Andrews, Barnes or Vernon Carey
MLB would definitely be Channing Crowder or an Andra Davis
Jim Butler from the Giants (Spags connection) for SS

    Just ideas.

Pace, Holt and Little account for massive amounts of money and will either renegotiate or leave. All three are on the downside of their careers yet are paid top dollar.

I think we should release any guys on down side of career with big contracts ie. Holt,Pace,Bennett( idon't know if he's on down side but it sure isn't an upside)
I personally would like little kept around he is a game changer when he's healthy. If he could put together a healthy season it definitly would be productive and worth the money. Realese those other guys and go after a big FA like Haynesworth. I like Boley from ATL and Bart Scott, BAL also it would br nice to see them in Rams uniform.
