Top 4 Needs Are Fairly Clear. How Do You Prioritize Them?

I think most would agree that the Rams top 4 needs in the draft are (in no particular order): OT, WR, NT, MLB.

How would you prioritize those needs?

For me, it would be: (1) OT, (2) NT, (3) MLB, (4) WR.

That stated, I still have Curry as my top pick because I think he is the best prospect available at any position.

For me, depends if Holt, Pace stay (which is very impossible given cap space).

    Both go:

    OT, MLB, WR, NT

    Pace stays:

    MLB, WR, OT, NT

    Holt stays:

    OT, MLB, NT, WR

I'm pretty much assuming that both Holt and Pace are as good as gone. I really would be shocked if the Rams retained either (particularly Holt).

    My order is the same:
    OT, NT, MLB, WR

My preferred pick is also Curry, because I believe him to be the best player in the draft.

    Assuming Holt & Pace go....

OT / MLB / CB / WR / NT ... I'd still want to see us draft a FS and SS as both are areas of weakness that need addressing asap!

I make defensive backs a pretty major issue for us. We were flat out awful last year and have only added Butler. We are paper thin depth wise and if the top rated CBs/Ss slip to us at the top of Round 2 I'd like to see us take them. 'Big Bodied' players that can pay rotation are easier to find in later rounds IMO than starting quality defensive backs...

    Mine are a little different.

    1. OT
    2. DE
    3. MLB
    4. CB

I'm not sold on Hill (imagine that) and Little isn't what he used to be.

    1. OT
    2. WR
    3. NT
    4. MLB

I just feel with Bennett and Holt (veteran leadership) gone we need help at the WR position in a big way. I would rather see the RAMS bring in a veteran WR. If that should happen than WR would drop to #4.

I also feel that an improvement at NT will automatically improve our MLB whoever that may be.

    I think it's

    OT
    MLB
    WR
    NT

As I said before, I really like Heyward-Bey. He might be available when we pick in the second.

    So...

    Monroe
    Heyward-Bey
    MLB
    NT

I really don't know who will be available in round three and four, so I can't put in names.

Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

    AV

    I'll go
    1: OT
2: DT E. Hood not Brace (If E. Hood is Gone, Go WR)

    3: WR
    4: MLB

    I have
OT/ MLB - both are equally needed at this point.
    NT
    CB
    WR

I agree with the CB thing, but I can't agree with the FS and SS. I'm positive we won't grab a FS in this draft, because we have much more pressing needs, and I don't think that we will be looking at any strong safeties that much now. Maybe in a year or two we will be looking to find Butler's eventual replacement, but I think we're set now. However, we could look into depth players in the 6th or 7th round.

And I want to add: there is a big difference between 'Big Bodied' players, and 'Big Bodied' players that can actually do something.

I want a NT that not only takes up space, but can use his aggressiveness to pull double teams, and be a big run stuffer.

    As for the original question:

    Assuming both go,

    1. OT
    2. MLB
    3. CB
    4. WR
    5. NT

Tye Hill hasn't really proved anything to me yet. He may have a pretty decent season next year, but I can't rely on maybes.

Curry right now is my choice for the Ram's first round pick. A linebacker like him doesn't come around very often.

Re: Top 4 Needs Are Fairly Clear. How Do You Prioritize Them?

    My list:

    OT
    MLB
    WR
    CB

I agree with your point on Curry, but ESPN's First Take had Howard Balzer on today who said the same list as yours, although NT & CB not mentioned. He explained in a 4-3 Defense like ours the value of a LB at #2 isn't there so he had us taking Jason Smith in his mock, not Curry. I still want Curry as even if Laurenaitus (sp?) drops out of the first round he won't last to us as NE has KC's pick and they will surely take him if they haven't already taken him in round 1. Remember they traded Mike Vrabel away.

I was disappointed to read Jax signed Tre Thomas as I hoped would snag him for a couple of years to bridge our gap on the OL.

    Go Rams!
