Top Of Round One Really Setting Up Perfectly

Now, there could be upsetts, or teams losing the last week not playing their best guys, but as it shapes up now, here is how I see the top of round one ending up, and it looks as good as it could for the Rams, who I see beating Tampa Bay

ties broken by opponent winning %
    1. Houston 2-14
    2. Rams (Wash) 3-13
    3. Oak 4-12
    4. Jax 4-12
    5. Atl 4-12
    6. T.B. 4-12
    7. Minny 4-11-1
    8. Clev 5-11
    0, Buff 5-11
Now this is all significant for a couple reasons

If Clowney goes first, you will have Cleveland, sitting at 8th, KNOWING they can't get a QB without a deal up above the Jags, Oakland, Minnesota, and maybe even Tampa Bay.

They have two first rounders, the other in the 20s from Indy, just what it would cost to start talking about a move up to get the BEST QB.

Now if Bridgewater goes #1, you either have Clowney falling in your lap, OR you have Atlanta at #5 DYING to get up to get exactly what they need on defense.

Chances are, you could get Atlanta's second this year and first next year for Clowney, the best DE talent since Mario Williams.

Atlanta isn't the only team that would be salivating over Clowney.

Tampa Bay also needs DE help,

You get two teams vying for a guy, or maybe even more if it is the top QB there and5 or the first eight maybe looking QB first, and a guy like Snead has all the cards again.

WIth Dallas going to arch rival Washington after a DEVASTATING loss to play Washington, I don't see an upset , especially after the way Washington lost today.

And the last game is at the Giants, and i don't see a let down at home for a coughlin team against a team that will already have their bags packed for the off-season before the game starts.

Houstons pick will 100% depend on who the new coach is. It's very likely a new coach will want his own QB. Whether that means Teddy or a potential free agent, see Jay Cutler, is to be determined. How nice would that be for Lovie Smith to get the Texans job and bring his boy Cutler there with him.

Oakland, Jacksonville, Minnesota and Cleveland all need a QB, maybe Oakland less than the others. Let the bidding begin if the Texans aren't in the Teddy market.

With the strength of schedule tiebreakers, if Washington loses next week, aren't they basically locked into a top 2 pick regardless of their result week 17?

Either way, I'm sure we have the ability to trade down and AT LEAST pick up an extra 2nd rounder.

Solid points. Let's not forget too, that Atlanta and St. Louis have a strong history of making deals on draft day. Kudos to them for taking care of Washington today too.

I'd like to pick up Matthews and a guard to solidify our depth at O-line, once these guys click in as a unit, pass protection will be light years ahead of this season.

No, as of this week, they would pick behind Cleveland and oakland at 4-12, but that could change even after the last week.

Everyone think Cutler will end up in Tennessee if the Bears don't re-sign him.
