NFL.com free agency tracker shows that the Rams have interest in Porter. I don't know a whole lot about him but he's still 25 and seems to make some big plays in times of need. If he's not asking too much I think he could be a nice addition.

The way CBs dropped like flies from our depth chart last year, it certainly couldn't hurt to try to sign him, provided he's not looking for Finnegan money, who I thought was overpaid, by the way.

He's overpaid but one factor that'll pay off from him is his presence in the field that'll turn this soft defense into a feisty one. It'll be interesting to see the likes of our young DBs (Gordy, Hood, Fletcher) develop with his presence.

Porter is only 25? Sure he is probably a little over rated due to a couple huge playoff games, but would love to bring him in as a number 3. What a drastic change of a position it would create, from our weakest to a strength of our team.

I wouldn't mind it, but it'd be hard for all our guys to get playing time. I still think Fletcher when healthy is a lot better than Porter, but I'd also like to see Murphy develop, and with Porter here, I doubt he would.

The only problem is Fletcher is injury prone, and Murphy is just coming off a serious injury, we dont know how he will respond. You can never have too many corners, and if the coaches believe Murphy can develop then id put my money on them giving him enough snaps and giving him the oppertunity to.

The guy i want to see play more is Gordy, he did an awesome job coming in last season.

Moot point now, but I wouldn't have mind bringing in Porter. Murphy is still very raw, while Fletcher although has massive potential, can never stay healthy.
