just throwing this out there, but what if we trade our first rounder for the pick Detroit got from Dallas (#19 OA i think) and their second rounder.

Goodell recently said that there will be no change in the current rookie pay system until at least 2011, so it shouldn't be an issue for consideration by underclassman who want to get in before the money changes.

It's not even close on the trade value chart, for what that's worth. We'd be giving up mega value in that move.

    Re: Trade Down

I don't think we need to trade down this time as we can probably get Smith the OT from Alabama and I think if you ask Bolger he would tell you we really need help of on the O-line. The guy looks good and the experts have mostly said it is a done deal thar he is going to us.

Amen Brother. I don't have enough faith in the Rams drafting ability to try anything else. Andre Smith with the #2 pick

    Re: Trade Down

Has any of us thought of what the NEW head coach might do ? maybe start his team off with a franchise OT , #1 BIG ANDRE . lets take him out of it for a second and see who we want then , and what strategy would we use from there on.

    Re: Trade Down

    dream scenario:

Rams trade #2 overall for #8 overall & #40 overall.

#8: St. Louis Rams select MLB Rey Maluauga .

Rams trade #34 overall & #40 overall for #24 overall.

#24 Rams select OT Jason Smith
I love it no or though... Works for me!
