Trade down vs. Standing Pat
Let's say Free Agency is still at a stand still come Draft Day. Also, let's say Julio Jones is available at our pick.
Patriots, Chargers, and Seahawks are all potential trade partners...
The question becomes:
Would you give up Julio Jones for an additional 2nd rounder.
I say this is a no brainer....trading down and go 3 picks in the top 62 picks.

Re: Trade down vs. Standing Pat
No way chargers or Pats who are picking close to us give up a second. Seahawks probably wont do that with a division rival unless they fall in love with a QB and he falls to 14 which is also unlikely.

Re: Trade down vs. Standing Pat
I def think you are wrong. Pats / Chargers with Julio Jones available(and any number of defensive players falling) may want to jump in front of Jacksonville. Julio Jones will not get past Jacksonville. Not to mention there are plenty of other teams that may be interested. That was a quick scenerio....
No matter who it is, just focus on the scenario. Trade down for 3 picks, probably 3 top 75 picks....
I personally think it is worth it with a guy like Hankerson around and tons of depth in round 2 on the defensive side of the ball

Re: Trade down vs. Standing Pat
If Julio is there at fourteen, he will be a Ram. Or I should say, if we don't draft him, I will be sad.
And no chance in hell I want to help the Seahags move up in the draft, unless they offer next years first and second as well.

There it is folks...Julio Jones will be a Ram at #14 if he's there, no doubt in my mind. Josh McDaniels had the video equipment in place on Sunday to replay for the rest of the Rams drafting crew, plus he'll show the game tapes of what Calvin Johnson did to us in Detroit this past year.
Go Rams!

Re: Trade down vs. Standing Pat
If Jones is on the board at 14, there's no way the Rams trade down. They'll get a rep to the stand to make the pick quicker than you can blink.
However, at this point I honestly don't see him falling past Washington at 10, and it really wouldn't stun me one bit to see him go to Cleveland at 6.
