I don't know if you were looking for a name, but my theory is if we are stuck at #2 the only options to be considered are:

The best Olineman available, or the best CB available.

I think WR should be considered, but knowing we have another pick in Round 1 --- CB and Oline get top priority.

I picked Mathews, but either OT, depending on what Fisher and Deveney think.

We need OL help. We need a pick that is NFL ready, and as close to a sure bet as you can get, not a project. We need Jake Matthews.

As others are saying, Jake Matthews makes the most sense to me right now. Overall, I am just hoping we invest another high pick in the offense to help elevate Bradford's game.

Matthews or Clowney, they're probably the best value picks at #2. I agree that WR and CB are two big needs for the Rams, but unless they're the second coming of Calvin Johnson or Deion Sanders, I think drafting a WR or CB at #2 is overreaching.

I like the idea of taking the best player available, especially if that BPA is by far the best player of the draft. If Clowney proves to be that good, then take him, figure the rest out later.

But to be honest I don't see him being that much better at the moment, especially when you look at production etc. I think we would be better suited taking an OT. I picked Robinson as a guy who could play as a Mauler on the right side for a few years if need be before taking over at LT.

I was wondering what that "funny" feeling was!

Regardless....Clowney...assuming all goes well at the combine.

Re: Trade market fails - who do you take at No. 2?

After his season this year, I have serous doubts that Clowney is the best player available.

Matthews is a very safe #2 pick in that he's extremely unlikely to bust, has the tools to be a very good to great OT for a decade, and fits a position of need. No brainer.

That being said, I'd be very surprised if we stay at #2.

If Clowney passes everything in offseason with flying colors then him, if not Matthews
