Trading down, no not from pick #6 -- from pick #33

I think the Rams should stay pat at #6 and grab a top talent of Blackmon, Floyd, Richardson, Khalil or Claiborne.....

Other than that, there hasn't been alot of talk about trading pick #33.....

Since pick #33 will be a day later, there will be a bunch of teams that will want "their guy" at #33....

The Eagles and Patriots have 2 picks in Round #2....I truly think both teams would rather trade up for #33 due to their cap space and their team being older / closer to contention.

Rams trade #33 for Eagles #41 and #56

    or

Rams trade #33 for Pats #48 and #62

The Rams end up with 3 picks in the 2nd Round and they may have to throw in another pick for the Values to add up....but this could be a unbelievable draft with 4 of the top 64 picks....

Not to mention the Patriots love future picks and we need more NOW....

can't wait....I think I am done thinking until Thursday....

(then have to wait til Friday for #33 -- grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Interestingly this was mentioned two years ago, when the Rams had the first pick on day 2 and day 3, but both times the Rams hung on to the pick. One, Saffold, had a great year that year. The other, Gilyard, was a bit more of a flop some would argue.

I was thinking the same thing, berg. We all salivated at the possibilities of a Rams trade down in 2010, and they said there were offers, but ultimately they kept the pick and selected Saffold.

I don't know if the same will happen again this year. I have to think that, with a second second-round pick already under their belt, they may opt to just take one of the quality players on the board rather than try to deal again.

Also considering that this draft is supposed to have fairly good depth, teams might be content to see what falls to them rather than use picks to move up in the 2nd.

Its a great scenario, as the Rams will have 31 teams who all covet a guy for Day 2, and the only way to be sure to get him is to trade with the Rams.

I don't care how far they move down in the 2nd. The Rams better pick up a couple of picks. It will either cost a team two second round picks. How about a third and fith.

The Rams could trade the 33rd pick for a first round pick in next years draft. The Rams would still have pick 39. That would give the Rams three first round picks in next years draft.

I hope Rams take one of there first round picks in 2013 and 2014 and trade down for more future picks. The Rams could always have several extra picks in years to come.

I would be open to trading down from #33 for a further two second rounders

I do like the idea of picking a first round talent that has slipped, but at the same time I like the idea of coming out of the first two rounds with four starters.
