Interesting that our franchise player supports this. Though he wouldn't be able to wear #85 since it is retired, what would you think of the Rams going after Ochocinco?

I haven't posted that much in a while but I still do go on the website from time to time to read up what's happeneing with our Rams. This caught my attention so much to the point where I just have to comment.
Your kidding about the four pillars right??? What has Chad Johnson done off the filed to warrent that he's a bad apple? He does numerous philanthropic events for needy people, kids, gives money to foundations. So he has a little fun and rides a bull or races a horse if I remember correctly or tries out for MLS... Does that mean he's a bad guy with character issues??? YOU MY FRIEND ARE WAY OFF POINT IN CALLING HIM A BAD SEED BECAUSE HE IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE...

One of the four pillars is "team first". Ochocinco is "me first". Don't hold your breath waiting for 85 to be a Ram.

Whether we get him or not, SJax was definitely not being sarcastic about it. If you know Steven Jackson off the field, Ochocinco is one of his closest NFL friends.

He also tweeted to Ochocinco earlier in the off-season about how he needed to learn the area because they were gonna be teammates soon.

Obviously means nothing, and I dont care if we get him or dont, just saying it definitely wasn't meant as a slight. He definitely would like his friend to come here.

I wasn't aware of how close they were. Then it probably wasn't sarcasm. I do expect however Steven Jackson knows it is not worth having him here. When the route we are taking is different and going to more effective. He could be just being real supportive to his friend. And yep like you said it obviously doesn't mean nothing.

My thought itself on Ochocinco on Rams though. The question someone posed about the jersey number earlier is interesting. Ordinarily it is not a big deal, but it IS his name haha. If he is at a point where he has matured and really wants to help in a "team" setting. I wouldn't mind him on a one year contract. Especially because no matter how much WR potential we have, Bradford doesn't have that number 1 threat. Someone can easily groom into that role next year, until then a 1 year contract for Chad wouldn't be too bad. Then again, I would prefer someone like Sidney Rice or Vincent Jackson over him.

I hate that steven did this. We have two coming back from injury and two new guys I think we are set for now. Chad johnson is a decent player but isn't worth the drama he brings.
