Undrafted Free Agents
Here's some notable guys. Who went undrafted that you want to invite to camp?
WR - Kevin Ogletree, Quan Cosby, Aaron Kelly, Greg Carr
LB - Frantz Joseph, Jonathon Casillas, Darry Beckwith, Antonio Appleby, Dannell Ellerbe, Josh Mauga
OT - Alex Boone
I think we should bring in Aaron Kelly to see if we can use his size, and Frantz Joseph can be used as a run stuffer and a special teams guy since he is such a good tackler.Last edited by codeman123; -04-26-2009 at 07:44 PM.

Re: Undrafted Free Agents
It's interesting that LSU high-rated LB's, usually, instead of 2nd or 3rd round, become UDFA's. Trev Faulk, Ali Highsmith and now Darry Beckwith! I think only Bradie James was picked. Who's pushing them so high on draft boards!?
Interesting UDFA's would be: Aaron Kelly, Augustus Parrish, Terrill Byrd, Diyrall Briggs, Pierre Walters, Frantz Joseph, Morty Ivy, Emanuel Cook and Otis Wiley.

Re: Undrafted Free Agents
id take a look at Greg Carr too 6ft 6 28 TD`s and a 17 yard catch average for Florida state!
out of players not already mentioned..
Otis Wiley S Michigan State (mentioned whilst i was compiling the list)
Lee Robinson OLB Alcorn.state..6ft 2 249 lbs..small school prospect, not the polished article but athletic with good size and the ability to make big plays..i think he would be a good addition to the SAM mix..
Jason Watkins OT Florida state 6ft 6 318lbs...will need some work but a prospect with some handy tools for the position..
Tim Jamison DE Michigan
Jon Cooper C Oklahoma...big 12 offensive lineman of the year...someone to back up Jason Brown?
theres a few highly ranked coming out of college MLB`s, but with J-Lau on board i dont know if we would go with 2 rookie MLB`s..

Re: Undrafted Free Agents
I was hoping we would make a bigger splash in the undrafted free agent market. We still need players and some of them would be worth a look. There were several decent prospects undrafted. We had just 7 picks total iin the draft several had more picks then us including the compensation picks. I thought we reached twice in the draft with Fletcher and Null. I still like the Fletcher pick because he has good size for a CB and could develop nicely. Null had good acurracy but I think he would have definently went undrafted. I would rather have used that pick on some one else maybe even one of these other undrafted players.
Here is a list of some of the undrafted players I was interested in and where they went. Maybe if they get released from the team that picked them up we can get some of them on the rebound.
BOLD - Is who I would have liked to get and the non-BOLD is who I would have liked to look into getting.

2009 NFL Draft Prospect Scouting Report:
Greg Carr, WR, Florida State
Despite being one of the most prolific wide receivers in Florida State history, Greg Carr (for the most part) has flown under the NFL's radar. He is only the second player in Seminole history to rank in the school's top five in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns; the first was Peter Warrick. To put up numbers that impressive he could not spend any time not being productive. As a freshman in 2005 he caught nine touchdown passes. As a sophomore that number increased to 12. As a junior he led the team with 795 receiving yards and he ended his senior campaign catching 39 passes for 542 yards and four touchdowns.
Carr's reputation for making spectacular catches has actually hurt his stock in the draft. Every highlight reel of Carr's FSU career consists of amazing catch after amazing catch, but scouts are starting to see that he can be much more than that. Carr is a surprisingly good route runner and has more than enough speed to be dangerous after the catch.
Any team in the NFL would like to have a 6-6 wide receiver. One can never go wrong with size and speed when talking about a receiver and if his stock continues to rise, Carr could find himself in the second round. If not, some team will get a steal on the second dayLast edited by RamsSB99; -04-27-2009 at 09:55 AM.

Re: Undrafted Free Agents
Carr and Hunt are still available and should at least be invited to camp to be given a chance.
I would of liked one of the linebackers that didn't get drafted but most were middle linebackers and the others were more suited to play WILL. Hopefully one of our linebackers can fill in the MIKE spot well like draft or pisa.
I have no idea how Cadogan and Boone went undrafted but we missed out not being able to sign one of them.
