Updated Salary Cap Approximations
The following website has updated approximations for salary cap space this spring, and list the Rams at just under $32 million...

Interestingly, if these are accurate, as the sixth ranked team in terms of cap space, we should be able to throw some weight around in free agency.

Re: Updated Salary Cap Approximations
i think that the young centers that we have in romberg and turner, and the veteran mccallum, will be just fine for years. i think to grab gurode would be wasted money right now.

Re: Updated Salary Cap Approximations
I don't share your confidence. McCollum is quite old and is coming off of a major injury. Turner provides very little at the position, IMO. And Romberg, though he played well to end the season, was a practice squad player in Jacksonville because he couldn't make the active roster. Maybe we will be fine for years here, but I look at it as a pretty big gamble. I think we could improve this position by adding either a veteran or a draft pick to compete for that starting job or at worst provide better depth.
