Kalil is an option for the Rams. From PFT:

Given the state of the offensive line, absolutely he is. My top two options at this point would be Kalil and Blackmon, with Claiborne as a dark horse.

But if Minnesota remains in front of the Rams when draft day rolls around, it's tough for me to see them passing on Kalil.

I can never get excited about drafting a tackle in the first round. Especially when I feel like if we go that route, we're going to end up drafting our receivers in rounds 3-5 again and have the same problem next year we did this year, but with moderately better oline performance. We don't need a tackle, we need an offensive line.

The Rams shouldn't even look at position, they should take the best player available.

J. Smith was forced a little. They had a need at tackle and they took the best tackle even if he wasn't a sure thing. All the tackles ended up being a bust so Smith versus any of the others wasn't the issue. They seemed to be drafting to fill a position when they should have been drafting the best talent. (that's what they did with Long, JLau and Saffold)
