Re: Vernon Davis at the Combine

If you think that anything that Linehan has said (or anything that any coach has said, for that matter) actually gives real insight as to who the Rams will take in April, I'm afraid you don't know how the game is played.

I look at it in this way. Linehan places a lot of stock on value in the draft. If Davis falls, he provides more value than any other player that will be available. He also fills a need. I expect Arch to be back at SS and I will be shocked if Davis falls to #11, if he does though; then he will be a Ram.
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

    In your opinion.

We have no idea how the Rams are going to rank players on their big board, and there is even some discrepency among fans as to the value of prospects.

Maybe Davis falls, but according to Linehan he's not the best value available. Who knows?

davis's numbers are impressive, without a doubt...

but, if numbers are your thing...

    T. Scheffler, a TE who's 6'6" 260, runs a 4.54 and has the best agility numbers...beat Davis in the three cone, both short and long shuttles. in fact, scheffler was best amongst TEs in short shuttle, 2nd best in three cone and long shuttle...
