    Welker:

    2005- 16 games, 29 catches 434 yards 0td's
    2006- 16 games, 67 catches 687 yards 1td
    2007- 16 games, 112 catches 1175 yards, 8 td's
    2008- 16 games, 111 catches 1165 yards, 3td's
    2009- 14 games, 123 catches 1348 yards, 4 td's

2007-2009 were with Moss. I'm not saying Bulger would be Brady, however Moss opens up everything underneath because every opponent must put a safety over the top so he doesn't get 1on1. The open space underneath would allow Amendola, and anybody else for that matter, to catch more short passes and turn them into 10 or so yard gains.

We will know just about this time tomorrow. If you believe the NFL network rumor mill, the Rams will attempt to get him. Let me make a prediction:

The Rams will not get Moss, because he won't be available. I just see the downside being so minimal that it would be hard for alot of teams to pass up.

If the Rams do end up getting Moss, I predict he will be a key element in the offense from day 1.

This was a very good assessment, when i knew moss was on the waivers, i had a huge feeling the rams weren't going to pursue him. Knowing our front office, they don't like trying to go and get NFL superstars to help us out. We lose mark clayton, and then we just rely on rookie's. Getting moss would have been a huge thing, because I believe that if they did get moss, maybe he would buy into the whole 4 pillars thing, because from what i have seen spags can make players play for him. But once again, we never try and go for NFL vets. I guess the coaches believe its not about winning in the playoffs right now, its about putting together a good season, and tuning for the future.

I buy into both concepts, but moss would've helped the west coast offense out tremendously by taking pressure away from the short pass which shurmur so patently likes to run. But i guess it was to much to ask at this point in the season. Now the titans will open up the run game with randy moss on the side, especially for an already deadly chris johnson.
