    Re: Vikings waived Moss

To clear some thing up. Whoever picks him up does not have to pay anything if they claim him on waivers. The vikings have to cover his contract. If he passes waivers however, we'll have to pay the man.

My thoughts are to grab him. He stretches the field and demands double coverage. Huge upgrade at WR and helps out Jackson. It will give our offense a good boost. Plus a red zone threat

Sign him! Let's rest and regroup on our bye and try to make a playoff run the second half of the season. Our schedule is gonna get tough, why not at least make a one year offer?

I know its not gonna happen, though lol.

Just heard it would cost 3.4 million to pick him up off waivers.
    This space for rent...

Who he wants to play for is mostly irrelevant. When you're on waivers, if somebody puts in a claim, they have dibs on you. Sure he can simply petulantly sit out, but he's probably done for the year if that's the case.

For an 8 (plus, dare I hope?) game gamble, his talent's good enough that I would say go for it. This is a winnable division and a wideout of his talent could push us over the top for the division title.

I would take the shot at him. Kroenke can afford it. We have a legit shot to win the division. If he acts out, waive him immediately. He still has plenty of talent.

IMO Moss better player has more impact on the game draws constant double teams even when he isn't giving full effort IMO and alot experts still the best deep threat the game has ever seen.
Beat me to it on that post. I was surprised to hear that he almost signed with the Rams there.

I think the Rams would have to be insane to pass up on Randy right now to have for the remainder of the season. This isn't any long term investment and he opens up the field so much. Just look at how great Percy Harvin has been since The Vikings got Moss. It always feels like some huge accomplishment whenever the Rams complete a pass down field or even attempt a pass over 15 yards so it can't be said how much this would help The Rams offense.

Also if the Rams do somehow get Moss then people should probably look to pickup Amendola for their fantasy team because I think he could put up Welker type numbers with SJax and Randy on the same field with him.

I am a little wary, but if I had the chance to sign him I think I would pull the trigger.

    Re: Vikings waived Moss

He was waived, so the Rams could claim him. I'm not sure if the order for making a claim goes by current record or last year's. If its last years, the Rams would have the first shot at him.

If the Rams have a chance to get him, I would consider claiming him but I'd want to hear some indication from Moss as to where his head is.

    Re: Vikings waived Moss

Does anyone know how the waiver system works and where we are on the list?

I'm honestly torn on whether to get him or not.

Our progress is on a smooth steady incline and I don't want anything major to disrupt it but hey... we have lost 3 #1 receivers and that is pretty disruptive and we are surviving.

With the winning and Bradford I believe the crowds at the Dome are growing. Adding Moss I'm sure would excite and bring in more fans.

If Clayton was able to do what he did that quickly why couldn't a player of Moss' caliber do even better?

We are only looking at the rest of this year. We either have he money to do it or we don't.

The biggest risk however is this. If we as fans get frustrated with Shurmur it is one thing but if Moss does and starts talking and incites the rest of the players to not bUy into the system it could set us way back.

If I'm the owner I say yes. If I'm the coach no.

    i'M SO CONFUSED!!!!!!

It goes by current record and yes, you would have to pay a pro-rated amount of his salary for the rest of his salary

Re: Vikings waived Moss - Should the Rams be interested?

its based on the records for this year and we DO NOT have to pay anything if we claim him. The vikings have to pay his salary
