After the trade deadline, all players are subject to waiver claims until the day after the superbowl, regardless of experience.

Re: Vikings waived Moss - Should the Rams be interested?

Thanks to Rambunctious for posting the priority order. Here's my thoughts on who might take him:

Bills - Maybe. They took a chance on T.O. last year, so why not?

Panthers - They sure could use him, but they're trying to develop some rookie WRs too, so I'm thinking no.

    Cowboys - no.

    Broncos - highly doubtful.

Bengals - Ocho, T.O. and Moss? No.

Browns - Possible, though they might still be smarting from the Braylon Edwards experience.

    Lions - no.

    Vikings - duh.

Chargers - not after finally getting V-Jax back.

    Cardinals - highly doubtful.

    Jags - highly doubtful.

    Raiders - again? No.

    Rams - Could happen.

no you are not alone...i`m doubting if we will ever know the truth tho..if Billy D rung up the Vikings i doubt if they would tell him because they would want somebody else to pay his salary,so if it`s something character based then they wouldn`t want to disclose that and if they asked Moss he`s obviously gonna try and polish it up to make himself look as innocent as possible..

i don`t expect us to sign him but if Spags,Billy D and Stan decide they want to then i`ll support it...there seems to be plenty of teams ahead of us on the wire, but looking at them i`m seeing plenty of teams who although having poor seasons, actually look pretty set at the wideout position already.

    Chilly is real dumb.

Apparently he is trying to get the pick back, lmao.

He has just removed all doubt, and continues to prove what people think of him.

Although, due to his declining skills I don't imagine we would ever "throw it up" for Moss to go get it like in the past, that type of receiver would be detrimental this early in Sam's development imo.

Moss will have to go through waivers anyway, so we will wait and see who wins Moss.

I think Childress is having such a hard time dealing with Favre that he just couldn't bear to fight with Moss too.

Of course, Brad's the one who'll be unemployed at the end of the year.

Just totally guessing and so am probably wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Broncos pick him up, and Oakland is a wildcard with all personnel moves. I wouldn't count out the Jags either.

He just better not end up in Seattle.

My understanding is that, in order to determine the waiver order, just look at the NFL standings from bottom to top.

    Buffalo
    Dallas
    Carolina
    San Fran
    Denver
    Minnesota
    Detroit
    Cleveland
    Cincy
    San Diego
    Arizona
    Washington
    St. Louis

Thus, the Rams would currently be 13th in that order. The Raiders and Jags are after the Rams, Redskins are before. Washington is a legit landing place for Moss, IMO.

Pundits on NFL Network are saying he may be grabbed by San Diego because Norv Turner has had a good personal relationship with Moss.

Waiver claims have to be made within the next 23 hours, so we'll know by 4pm Tuesday.

    Randy Moss is available...

Given the dearth of talent at WR, should the Rams make Moss an offer (if he clears waivers) to come in and give the kid a future HOFer to throw to for half a season?

The Vikings haven't even sent out the release letter yet. Delayed?

We probably won't hear anything until a media release says Moss has been claimed by ________.

Getting the dude for nothing...yeah, we should jump on that. I'd be surprised if we do but I think this is a win/win situation for us. We don't have to give up anything and he's still a threat.

    Re: Randy Moss is available...

I say no, too much baggage. He's been run out of two teams in one season? We are building a team atmosphere here, and it is working. We don't need to throw a wrench into it with a "me me me" guy who will sit there and bash his coach and teammates to the media for not doing what he says they should do.

The last thing we need is him telling Bradford what to do. He is a cancer that will disrupt what is a good locker room atmosphere with his me-first attitude. 4 pillars has nothing to do with this, this guy is just plain bad news and isn't worth his aging talent.
