Good, he can wreck their locker room instead of ours.

Hopefully it doesnt come back to bite us when we play them in Seattle, i agree with what your saying tho.. doesnt make a whole lot of sense to potentially rock the boat that to this point has led us to a serious chance at the playoffs

The more I think about it, the more I'm leaning towards a big fat NO!

If we can get him for peanuts, I say sure. That being said, I would not want him as anything more than a guy to help get us thru this season.

Once Clayton and Avery got healthy, I would want him out.

Randy Moss is a future Hall of famer. Can you imagine Bradford, Moss, and Jackson?? They would have to start respecting our passing game more and leave more room for Steven.

I honestly think it's a no brainier that we go get Moss.

In a nutshell after bagging on Childress and loving on Belicheat, NO.
I'll stick with A.J. Green to make our future look bright. If he goes to our division rivals, expect Bartell to show off that good coverage he had against him during the preseason.

I disagree. Moss has lost a step or two (He isn't a game-changing wideout anymore, at least so far this year) and has serious locker room issues. Two teams in one season wouldn't unceremoniously dump him off if he wasn't causing issues. He would be serviceable enough to keep, but the vikes have made it clear they are willing to eat his salary just to get him out of there and fast. And they traded a 3rd round pick a few weeks ago for him! That's bad. That's really bad.

What is no-brainer about adding a guy like that? I understand other points, but I think it is far from a no-brainer, not when two teams in one season won't put up with him for more than a quarter of the season before deciding it is too much.

    Re: Randy Moss is available...

On one hand we really need him. If you've watched any of the games this year, you know we've been reduced to a dink and and dunk short yardage gain offense because we have no #1 or, some might argue, #2 receiver. Imagine what Amendola could do if not double teamed. The Rams might even throw a pass over 10 yards mor than twice a game.

On the other hand, he's a nutjob who has a tendency to stop playing, and hasn't given it 100% all year.

I'm pretty torn on this one. I won't be upset whichever way we go.

    Re: Randy Moss is available...

I think Randy lives for competition. The Vikings just weren't getting it done. He could come to St. Louis and be THE man that helps get St. Louis to the playoffs. Sure, we all know we have the capability to make the playoffs, but Randy will be perceived as the savior. I think he would relish that role.

And berg, tell Bill Belicheat he has lost a step or two, seeing as how the Patsies kept a safety over the top of Moss all game long, I'm thinking he would disagree with you.

    Re: Randy Moss is available...

Randy Moss would just open up the offense and Steven Jackson would have more room to run. I think we should take him and I hope we do.

No one really knows why the Vikings got rid of Randy Moss but all I know is that it was a stupid move on their part. It probably just has to do with his postgame press conference and the Vikings didn't take a liking to it.

I think Spags can handle someone like Moss no problem. Some teams need a piece to finally get over that hurdle and I think Randy Moss is that piece for us.

    Re: Randy Moss is available...

Randy Moss still needs to be double teamed. Yes on some plays he won't go 100% but on most plays the other team will leave a safety over the top to double Moss. That takes a man out of the box for Jackson. Essentially freeing up half of the field to his side. I like that idea. Also Bradford has shown his accuracy to throw the deep ball so he can stretch the field. Its only 8 games. I say take a chance on him. There isn't much to lose and a lot to gain

    Why's that Av?

It's interesting, on one hand he can be a great player for you if he respects you (the head coach, that is); and on the other hand he can be complete poison. Personally, it seems like Spags has his players' respect and this could possibly be a great marriage, if you will. Of course, it'll only be great if we continue winning...

The last thing we need is him telling Bradford what to do. He is a cancer that will disrupt what is a good locker room atmosphere with his me-first attitude. 4 pillars has nothing to do with this, this guy is just plain bad news and isn't worth his aging talent.
I knew someone here was going to spread such lies.

Randy Moss has his faults, mainly with the media, but disrupting a locker room has never been a problem. Evidents shows just the opposite.

If he was such a locker room cancer, then why are past teammates, especially from the Patriots, tweeting like crazy that they'd love nothing more than to have Moss back? And why where so many Vikings teammates showing shock, disappointment, and disapproval of Moss' release? (source: NFL Network)

This is about bringing Randy Moss in for an eight game run, period. If he doesn't fit, cut him. This isn't about how we treat next years draft and crap like that. Give Spags and Devaney a little credit. What will it cost? $3.4 million? That's it? Since when is everyone suddenly more concerned about multi-billionaire kroenke's financial state than bringing in a possible difference maker?

I wouldn't hesitate in claiming him off waivers.
