We have not 1 but 2 picks that will receive a lot of attention

I was listening to Adam Schefter on The Herd today and he brought up a great point.

There is no question that our #2 overall pick will receive attention. However that 1st pick in the second round might receive just as much if not MORE attention. Think about it once the first round ends, there is a whole day before second round starts so the value of that pick has no where to go but UP.

So if we can trade back our #2 overall and pick up what we want. Why not trade our 2nd round pick for two 2nd round picks, or atleast check out whatever offer comes our way that day.

I heard the same thing and mentioned it in another thread. According to Adam, we are in the driver's seat for this draft and that is great news because we really need to stockpile picks and make the most of them. He also mentioned that this was a strong reason Jeff Fisher agreed to coach the Rams rather than the Dolphins. 91 days and counting...I'm pretty excited!

Love this news, and totally agree w the concept...unless someone drops to the second round pick that is too good to pass up, which is very likely as it always happens in drafts.

If you want two second-round picks, I believe New England and Philadelphia are the only teams currently in possession of two of them right now in the 2012 draft. That could change after the first round, though.

man I'm all for trading our first to the Skins or Browns but it's going to be hard to sit an entire day thinking about what great players we can get at 2 in the 2nd round only to trade it.
