What about a Raven DT?
What about looking at A. Franklin from the Ravens. He could rotate with J. Kennedy, which would keep Jimmy fresh and stronger. Thoughts?:l

Re: What about a Raven DT?
Franklin has the size [6'1" 320lbs.] that the Rams need, but counting on him to start might be asking to much from him.
If we sign Franklin we would need to bring someone else into compete.

Re: What about a Raven DT?
I don't think Jimmy's problem is being fresh or not.

Re: What about a Raven DT?
Would this be one of the guys Ray Lewis was complaining about last year when he said they needed to draft a big body to keep the blockers off? He might provide depth, but I'd definitely want to sign or draft someone else as a longer term solution. I wouldn't have a whole lot of interest unless we find out that Kennedy is going back to the other tackle position.

Re: What about a Raven DT?
Seth Payne has been released by the Texans, he could provide some depth, although he isnt massive

Re: What about a Raven DT?
Seth Payne is ancient and on his last knee. I wouldn't pay Payne anything to hop on our IR for the entire year.
Franklin would be good depth.

Re: What about a Raven DT?
I don't think finding someone to 'compliment' Kennedy is the problem. Personally I think we need someone to 'replace' Kennedy. He just isn't cracked up to be an 'NFL' DL.
