What about Shaun Rogers?
I think we might be able to get him cheap. We might get rid of Glover this year also and Carriker, Ryan, and Rogers in our DL rotation don't sound to bad. Rogers could be a lead candidate to start if he can get his act together. If not he could still be a rotation guy.
REPORT: End of the line for Lion Shaun Rogers?

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
I woudn't call shaun rogers a "player past their prime" as he had more sacks this season then he ever had in his career with 7sacks . but his tackle has went down because he averages around 65tckl per season and only had 39 this season. still he had more sacks which is to me more important then tackles for a DT anyway.

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
I like our young DT rotation we have right now in our 4-3. If we are movin to 3-4 i would like this guy to anchor the middle with Ryan

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
in a 3-4 you have 2 DE'S And 1 DT.. how do you Anchor Shaun Rodgers in the Middle with Clifton ryan??? wouldnt that be a 4-3???? unless your talking about a change of pace DT.. if so I apologize... I am Frustrated with the way things are going right now.

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
Whatever man, you don't dump a good player for no reason. He did lead that highly ranked Detroit defense. Boy they struck fear into people. Get over this guy.

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
ummm.. they are dumping him because he was a problem in the locker room. not a team player if you ask me.. plus i did not say we should get him

shaun rogers
picture this... our front four consisting of carriker and hall at ends (release little since trade is unlikley) rogers and rotate ryan and aging glover. wroten is a cancer to the team. i think carriker would thrive at end. comments welcome

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
Talent matters but character is equally important. If Rogers is a locker room cancer, than I say pass. We need guys who pull the team together not apart.

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
So true -- although I really wasn't aware of him being a trouble maker. Too bad.
On the other hand, as 24/7 said, Rogers is not a "player past his time", no. He's only 28! If he is converted into being a responsible pro he could certainly avail considerably in any defense (he sure is big enough) for another three seasons. This could feasibly be with the Rams.
I wonder what plans Glover has for 08.

Re: What about Shaun Rogers?
there was a thought in San Diego that Rodney Harrison at 28 was past his prime...
id like to have him...is anyones guess on if he has issues or not in Detroit, didn`t they say the same about james hall??
ok,Hall hasn`t lit up St .Louis but he hasn`t been a "cancer" neither!
i think with players for teams like Detroit,Arizona etc.... (and the way we heading the Rams) ya gotta give consideration that the player just may be done with losing and not making the play-offs year in year out...during his career Rogers has been better than 90% if not more of the DT`s that have played in the SB,that gotta leave a lil bad taste in his mouth!
all that said and yes i did say earlier "id like to have him" but unless by some miracle he became available on the cheap,i dont think we should go for him...other needs etc....
