What does your "checklist" for this draft look like?

Typically, a team is not going to be able to fill all of its needs in one draft. However, I always have a checklist of positions I would like to fill (and when) in a given draft.

Here's my checklist for this weekend:

Wide Receiver (Round 1 or 2)
    Safety #1 (Round 1-3)
    OG/RT (Round 1 or 2)
    OLB (Round 2-4)
    RB (Round 2-5)
    WR/Return Specialist (Round 4-6)
    Safety #2/big CB (Round 4-7)
    LB/Special Teams (Round 6-7, FA)
    Rotation DT (Round 5-7, FA)

Got 5 guys coming over all former Oline or D front 7 so I had to get a lot! As a special touch I brought in a box of 24 Samual Adams (never had it before) and loads of quality Dutch beer obviously! It going to be fun!

Sam Adams is, bar none, the best (mass produced, as opposed to microbrew) American beer and ale brewer.

    1. multiple TVS in order to throw some on the ground and out the window if we don't address key needs of the team very early (WR especially), and /or if the draft goes the way the NFL network crew played it out last night where we took DT and S in Round 1. PS how are you guys SPACING/PARAGRAPHING your lines? My enter key and arrow keys do not do this on this site anymore for some reason.........

Sounds awesome, Im in UK and mine wont differ greatly from the above. However out from work, watch Ironman 3 then home just in time to catch a good draft. Followed by the copious amounts of watching highlights from all the future RAMs Great weekend (atleast as good as it gets during the offseason)

Re: What does your "checklist" for this draft look like?

I think this was a great first 3 rounds. Exceptional players that we picked up.

Austin (Speed, great inside and out, great separation speed)
Ogletree (Will be great against the run, physical against TE, gives Lauranitis the much help needed on
    outside)

McDonald (Strong physical Safety, Will make recievers going across middle pay)

Bailey (Great route runner, and physical at the line)

We now have a strong receiving core, sured up young Linebacking core. And Depth a little depth at the safety spot.

    Not bad at all.

Something, anyone to help us with the dreadful 2012 stat on 3rd down conversions. and a threat running back who can bring the safeties and corners up on play action.

as good as Austin is he has is going to have to be open to catch the ball. there are corners in our division with arms longer than him

whats free agency look like for a back or 2?

Re: What does your "checklist" for this draft look like?

People will be asking "Did Ogletree really go late in the first round when he should of been drafted in the top 10 ?"

You will love watching him attack and destroy.

All position needs filled it looks like. Possibly one more safety was needed. Other than that they did good.

Only question for me will be did we do the right thing by trading up and giving away a 2nd when we could have traded down and taken Hopkins and added another 2nd.

That would be 2 additional second round picks that we lost becuase we wanted Austin so bad. What additional talent we could have had with those picks ?

The next 3 years will answer that question.
