What if we did trade with Saints? My scenario.

I had a long thing typed for the scenario if we traded down to Saints for the first three rounds and all of a sudden it was closed by my dumb computer. Gah. I'll add in detail my explanation for the picks later, but I'll give the brief.

We'd trade with Saints...swap first rounders, get their second, Will Smith, and swap thirds.

Already have Will Smith aquired, so instant upgrade to pass rush.

10th Overall pick - Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt
33rd Overall pick - Dan Connor, LB, Penn State
40th Overall pick - Lawrence Jackson, DE, USC
78th Overall pick - Mario Manningham, WR, Michigan

Typing this out makes me wish it'd really happen, but just my own personal fantasy scenario on what if we did trade down with them.

Curious if you guys would accept that draft for first three rounds. Comments appreciated.

id prefer to see WR taken earlier than the third round, and im not sure about Manningham because of the lying at the combine thing
but if Connor is able to play the SLB spot that would be a very good draft
although that would be dependent on us being able to sign Smith long term

also, if Sedrick Ellis is available at 10, id grab him in an instant
have him at NT and Carriker at UT, with Glover and Ryan rotating in.
Little, Smith and Jackson coming from the edge would give us a beastly defensive line overall

Yeah, that is one thing that is negative about the deal. We'd have to sign Smith long-term along with a top ten pick. I'd be up for Jordy Nelson in Manningham's spot as well.

I would say

Derrik Harvey or Ryan Clady/ Brandon Albert whichever is available. Then Duane Brown/ Lawrence Jackson and Donnie Avery/Earl Bennet

I llike the way you think. This would be a great draft IMHO. Although, I would love Ellis if he was available.
