What kind of OLB do we need?
So I hear all the time that we need a OLB but I have always wondered if it is a Sam or a Will backer? I assume we are needing a weakside LB if I had to guess being since our Strong side's are Vobora and Diggs which aren't probowl but are at least servicable especially if our front 4 is beasting it.

Can we just clone James Laurinaitis?

I'd like to see an upgrade at the WILL position. I think Vobora/Diggs are solid enough on the strong side, but I'm not as confident as our personnel on the weak side.
Re: What kind of OLB do we need?
With the basic offense of the NFL going more passing based, defenses are forced to play more nickel, and sometimes more nickel than their 'base' defense. So, considering that a lot of the time we may be running with only two linebackers out there, I want a passing game Will backer upgrade if any. If Diggs and Vobora can bring it this year, I'd be happy going with a cheap and promising young Will backup and focus the real money on Safety and DT.

I wonder if Hawk had any sons?

I'm a big fan of Vabora (man, loving the value we got out of Mr. Irrelevant!) playing SLB. I want a jack-of-all-trades type of player at WLB (think Adalius Thomas in his prime). It seems to me that all of our rotational guys last year had a certain niche (Vabora: Strong vs. Run, Kehl: Solid pass rusher, Chamberlain: Decent against the pass). I want someone who can fill all of those roles. He doesn't have to be a Pro Bowler, but he shouldn't be exploitable, either.
