Re: What position should be the Rams' first target in the post-draft FA/trade market?
I'm going to say.........YES.

IMO, the linebacking core needs one more solid playmaker. Keith Bulluck anyone? PLEASE?

Who is our best player? Who is the single player that our season rides on?
He needs a chance to rest every now and then. We need to have a guy that the coaches feel confident in. Not some stiff that is primarily used as a blocker. A guy that is another weapon that keeps the opposing defense honest.
A proven back-up RB gets my vote.
Brian Westbrook come on down!!!!
GO RAMS!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What position should be the Rams' first target in the post-draft FA/trade market?
I chose DE. But it hard choosing between DE & OLB for me.
The Rams have no qaulity back up players in some positions as depth.
I don't think J. Hall is the answer on the other end of the D-line. I guess Hall will be a good leader to help bring along the rookie DE.
If Long goes down with a injury (GOD forbid). Who do the Rams have for DE, That can play well.
OH Man I hope one of the DE's drafted is a Hall of Fame player. That sure would help C. Long & the Rams.

Back up RB is very important to the team. If Jackson goes down, then what.
We cannot throw Bradford to the wolves.
After that we must just get the most talented players possible regardless of position.
A impact pass rusher would help enormously.

Rumor is Mark Clayton may become available (Ravens)....this would be a kick-*** addition at WR.

I dont think WR is in the conversation. I think our LB corps is solidified for now. We could definitely use a back up for SJAX but hopefully Bradford can take some of the burden off him, Rams want Westbrook for some reason, I think all thats left is to pick up a legit pass rusher whether DT/DE.

I picked WR...
They got an explosive guy in Gilyard but you can never have enough weapons for the QB. I'm not 100% comfortable with Donnie Avery as the #1 option either.

Re: What position should be the Rams' first target in the post-draft FA/trade market?
The answer is simple: back-up RB.
S. Jackson is our best player, he gets hurt EVERY SINGLE YEAR, when he gets hurt our offense takes a major nose dive, and this year w/ a rookie at QB we need some kinda running game when (notice I said when) Jackson gets hurt.

Re: What position should be the Rams' first target in the post-draft FA/trade market?
I think it would be best to get a back up RB in FA or through a trade not the draft. If they get a vet who knows the game and won't take time to develop for a 2 year deal and then draft a RB in the 1st round in 2012. This would allow the rams to fill more positions in the 2011 draft that are of big need like WR,DT,DE. I'd say Jackson has 2 good year left in him hopefully more and then they could transition to a new RB.
