what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
Mock drafters have the Rams picking Michael Crabtree. Crabtree has an injuried ankle, which will require him to be out 6-10 weeks. Will his stock drop?
Andre Smith OT has weight issues and will not attend Combine. Surely the Rams have crossed Smith off their list for the #2 pick in the draft.
But what will the Rams do with the #2 pick? QB maybe?
Keep an eye out for Mark Sanchez (USC).

I kind of like Eugene Monroe, but I still don't know much about him. We'll have to see how it goes.

Don't know much about Eugene Monroe either. Looked him up though. Very impessive! 6'-6", 319 lbs out of Virginia.
Do the Rams really want to go the Virginia route again?

Are you secretly attracted to Bulger? You are constantly talking about him and he is also your avatar. Seems to me someone has a crush.:D
Re: what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
The majority of the mock drafts still have us picking an OT but the Crabtree numbers are growing.
I'm probably wrong but I think the Rams are saying the right things and making people believe Crabtree is a serious option to get teams like Seattle interested in trading up. The ankle injury doesn't help but I don't think anyone seriously wanting him will let this be a deal breaker.
Re: what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
In my opinion, it's probably down to Eugene Monroe, Jason Smith, or Aaron Curry.

im thinking along the same lines but i do believe that they are seriously thinking of actually drafting him rather than it being a pure smokescreen like they tried to pull off in recent years ,if someone offers us the bank for our 2nd overall to pick him then so be it, but if they cant then they may well just pick him anyway...i dont think seattle will trade up with us tho,im thinking the raiders will try to by-pass the seahawks to get him instead.
i do think we`ll only draft Crabtree(to keep him) if we end up already having a trade back into the late first to pick up a OT deal in the pipeline, come the time of the draft weekend.

Surely you jest! I don't have a crush, but have been crushed by the Saint Louis Rams starting quarterback, on many occasions, the past few years.
Bulger has to learn to be "The Man". Excuses has been made about his weak O-line. Stop it, Please!! When a Superbowl Quarterback is successful, there's never any mention of his offensive line, ask Ben Rothisberger... He's the MAN!

no monroe! just like i said ~1 mos ago-- no doughboy alabama smith, and look what happened lol! I cannot understand the OT at #2. O-lineman are easy to find and three lots of OT this year. #2 should go to Crabtree, Curry, or Mauluga. STOP with the 'thats too high for a LB whines-- How about whats goona help the Rmas out and impact them the most? After-- go draft the OT. Monroe-- 22 reps on Bench Press..... for someone who weighs over 300lbs-- terrible. If we did OT, J Smith is the best of the draft-- but from an NFL impact player POV, I truly do not this that position will impact the Rams like Crabtree or a very good MLB will.
Re: what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
After watching parts of the combine this weekend, and knowing the weaknesses of our team, I think Jason Smith will be the one we pick - IF he is still available.

How can anyone want Sanchez... he started 16 freakin games. Hardly gives him enough to be considered a number two. Especially on a team thats spending a lot on their current QB.
Re: what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
I say we go for Aaron Curry now after seeing the combine. He is simply amazing at his position due to his size and speed. The linemen in this years draft aren't too far apart in skill, so I think it is better to pick up the most skilled player in a position that we need.
Re: what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
Crabtree's foot is injured not his ankle. Just thought you'd like to know.
Also the odds of us taking a QB with the second overall pick are the same odds of dgr828 making a thread that I don't laugh at.
Re: what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
Eugene Monroe, welcome to the Rams.
Re: what are the Rams gonna do with #2?
Mark my words.....Aaron Curry WILL be the Rams 1st Rd pick!
*I hope*
