What should we rams fans expect to happen in the nest few hours??

What should we rams fans expect to happen in the nest few hours?? simple, expect the rams to make a run for donnie edwards, and antonio bryant. here are a few reasons why.

DONNIE EDWARDS. a very physical linebacker, who is exceptionaly fast. yes sandiego played a 3-4 defense, but if he is the player i think he is then it will work out regardless. jim haslett would love this signing and would probably put a stamp on the rams having one of the best linebacker trio next year. yes scott linehan said spoon's move to the middle was permanent, but bringing in donnie to play mike and having pisa and spoon on the outside would make anybody change their mind. not to mention will's most success came from playing outside. other possibilities, joey porter, and adalius thomas.

ANTONIO BRYANT. with the rams most likely to lose kevin curtis through free agency, we could use a slot receiver. playing with Ike, and torry would make anybody better and antonio's potential is good. with time and a better staff antonio could be better than kevin curtis, antonio would benfeit from playing with torry holt and isaac bruce because he would not have to make a big impact to be noticed, in sanfran antonio was the #1 guy with little to no depth behind him and he had to play even harder knowing that there was nobody their. coming to st.louis would almost certainly take the burden off his back, and be more relaxed and just go out and play football. other possibilites, kelly washington, drew bennett.

Is this an official thing or rumor you found, or is it something you want to see/expect happen?

Just something that I would like to see, not that it matters anyway.

I love Edwards and he's still playing at a high level, but the fact that he's almost 34 and looking for a big payday before he hangs 'em up probably means he's not a viable option. He'd be a great addition at a reasonable price, but by all accounts that's not likely.

Bryant would be a nice pick up. Good route runner, and deep threat. Perfect for slot reciever.

If I recall correctly, Bryant has had a lot of behavioral problems in the past. I'd rather we didn't pursue him. Donnie could be a good addition if all the talk about Witherspoon staying in the middle turns out to be a smokescreen.

Re: What should we rams fans expect to happen in the nest few hours??

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...s/16813442.htm:

"The ***** signed Bryant a year ago, giving him a four-year, $15 million deal. But concerns about previous behavior, including a 2004 episode in which Bryant tossed a sweaty jersey into the face of Dallas Coach Bill Parcells, led the team to structure his contract so the *****' salary cap hit would be less than $1 million upon his release.

Though Bryant began last season on a high note, opening with consecutive 100-yard receiving games, his productivity slipped badly after that. He also had run-in with Nolan over being late for a special-teams meeting and was benched for the start of the Green Bay game on Dec. 10.

Bryant subsequently missed the last two games of the season when he began serving his NFL-imposed four-game suspension, which arose from a Nov. 19 arrest in San Mateo for investigation of reckless driving and resisting arrest.

The case is still pending. Prosecutors declined to file a drunken driving charge, noting there was insufficient evidence after Bryant refused to take a sobriety test. However, the refusal to take the test could lead to a yearlong suspension of his driver's license by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Wherever Bryant ends up, he'll still have to serve two games of his suspension next season."

behavior can be fixed, if the player wants it to be. maybe he just wanted to play with 2 HOF receivers??

Re: What should we rams fans expect to happen in the nest few hours??

Just say no to Antonio Bryant. The last thing we want to take on is a bad citizen in need of a major behavioral and attitude adjustment. I'll take a BIG pass on Bryant and all his past, present and future troubles.
