Rumors are continuing to swirl that the Rams are close to getting Michael Vick, quite possibly by weeks end. Vick is the best option for the Rams in the short term. He would bring the crowd back to the ED, help bring the spotlight nationally on the Rams franchise, and with he and Jackson, the Rams backfield becomes a duel threat, and Vick still has that speed...and we all know that SPEED KILLS! 3 months before summer camp, What's everyones opinion on Mike Vick at this late date, starting the Month of March?

I read it on the internet so it's gotta be true. It is similar to the threads / posts that begin "We all know the Rams front office want..." when they've never said that but it's been speculated on ClanRam or some other forum.

Vick expresses interest in Panthers

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick said on a weekend radio appearance (at about the 7:40 mark on the video above) that if he could choose to play for any team in the NFL, it would be the Carolina Panthers.

Appearing on the Gangsta Grillz radio program on Atlanta station Hot 107.9 FM, Vick was asked by host DJ Drama to respond to a listener question regarding where he’d like to play.

“If I could play for any team in the league, it would probably be two teams, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be the Carolina Panthers,” Vick said.

When asked why Carolina, Vick responded:

“Well, you know, it’s close to home. I like the uniforms. You get to play against Atlanta twice a year. Ain’t nothing better than playing against your former team, right? So, yeah, that would be a good look, it would be a good look.”

The Panthers weren’t interested in Vick last preseason when he was looking to sign with a team and are not expectetd to be interested now.

They enter next season with veterans Jake Delhomme and restricted free agent Matt Moore and appear highly interested in picking a quarterback in April’s draft.

Vick returned to the NFL with the Eagles last season after a two-season absence while serving a prison sentence for overseeing a dogfighting ring during his heyday as a star for the Atlanta Falcons.

Vick has apologized for his actions and said he is committed to using his experience to help him have a better life and to use the message to help youth not make similar mistakes.

Vick played sparingly last season for the Eagles, appearing in 12 games mostly as a situational player in a Wildcat role. He completed 6 of 13 passes for 86 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. He also ran 24 times for 95 yards and two TDs.

Living here in charlotte its been on the news that he was on a radio station saying that he'd like to play for the Carolina Panthers due to the fact that: 1. Its close to home, 2. They team is in the NFC south so he'll get a chance to play against the Falcons 2x a year., and (get this) 3. He likes the colors.

Don't look for Michael Vick to be among this year's unrestricted free agents. The Philadelphia Eagles not only aren't going to release him, they're willing to take him -- along with Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb -- into the season again as their quarterbacks.

You heard me.

Contrary to widespread opinion, the club is not looking to trade Vick unless someone offers what the Eagles consider to be fair-market value in return -- and, according to general managers and coaches I consulted at the NFL Scouting Combine, they have set the price at nothing less than a second-round draft pick.

"They think he can still start in this league," one player personnel director said of Vick, "and they're not going to trade him just to get rid of him."

Unbelievably ridiculous asking price.
