    whats left for round 4

Joe McKnight or Jonathan Dwyer as running backs. How about TE aaron hernandez?

When i put the post up, i didnt realize griffen was still on the board. Given that i would have been thrilled to take him in round 3, it seems logical that it would make sense to take him at the start of round 4!

Everson Griffen, our DE's are embarrassing right now. This guy had a first round grade before the draft, take the easy value like the good teams (Ravens, Pats) do.

Well it could be anyone. I'm not that impressed with the draft. Maybe there will be a possible playmaker that they could draft. I've said it before I still like Gillyard. He can catch, and he can do returns, very quick. Other than that I wouldn't rank the Rams near the top for draft results but I wouldn't rank them at bottom. I would like to see a WR to go along Avery and Gibson. It be nice to get a RB to back up Jackson.

Re: whats left for round 4

My ideal scenario is we use one of the 5th round picks to get Mike Williams out of Syracuse. HIGH UPSIDE, HIGH RISK PICK. Seeing as this is a 5th round pick, I think we can afford to take a chance on a kid that can produce such upside as he can. And if he doesn't pan out, then all we wasted was one fifth round pick, where often times the player doesn't allows pan out or is just added for depth to the team.

Here is some quotes from Mike Williams on April 7:

"I made some mistakes. I've got to learn from my mistakes and make up for it,"
"I've just tried to let all of them know that I can do this," Williams said. "This is what I do. I love football. If I don't go in the first round, I'm going to be the steal of the draft. I tell people that: it don't matter where I go, I'll be the steal of the draft. I'm going to be a good character guy and love my teammates."
    Why not?

Re: whats left for round 4

Hard to rank a draft before a down of football is played. So far, I'm very satisfied with the draft. Picking up a first round tackle in the second ain't bad imo. Saffold was an anchor for a very good Indiana line. Great leader as well, great Bradford protection plan there. Murphy is my kind of guy. Fairly fast, very feisty and physical and has size. Reminds me of Fletcher. I would have liked Damian Williams there too but im not mad at this pick. Wanted Griffen kinda at 33, definetely at the top of the third, and he's still there at the top of the fourth and we have 7 more picks. NICE

I maintain that we should address the lines.

Griffen was a guy who most projected in the top 40 picks, I'd be thrilled to have him at the top of the 4th.

With that said, we could very much use Dwyer, Hernandez, Gilyard, McKnight, Pitta or Wootton. I'd be more than satisfied with any of these players with our pick. It's a good day to be a Rams fan!

AV, i believe that Griffen is by far the highest rated guy left on your top 50 rams list. THus, any reason you wouldnt want us to jump all over him at the top of round 4? For example, any new injury info? In the "be true to your board" theory, and given that we have a clear need at de and havent addressed it, it seems like griffen should be the pick.

Do you agree? If not, please tell us what would give you a reason to restack your board. I am not being critical at all, its just that i respect you a TON on this stuff and i am really interested in your view.

Re: whats left for round 4

I'm wondering if Griffen's attitude isn't reminding people of Claude Wrotten.

There are multiple highly qualified WRs. Gilyard, Andre Roberts, Carlton Mitchell.

Sapp the small DE / OLB considered a 2-3rd pick. Wooten, Austin Lane or Griffen 1-3rd rounders.

    Or Aaron Hernandez the TE.

I'm just guessing but there is an issue with Griffen that hasn't come out. We'll see.

Oh: don't forget the solid OLBers that easily could have gone early 3rd in Norwood and Gibson. Gibson playing next to his old teammate?

Well, all I have to go on is my observations of game highlights and written reviews. Based on that, I had Griffen rated as a first rounder. So did a lot of others.

The GMs, though, obviously know something that I don't, so that concerns me.

I also feel like, although the Rounds 2 and 3 picks fill very important needs at OT and CB, the Rams really need to add a playmaker or two in this draft. Gilyard, Hernandez and Pitta might be the best options in that regard.

All that stated, if the Rams take Griffen with their next pick, I'd consider I'd be pretty happy about it.

I'd be thrilled to get Griffen tomorrow. Does anyone have any idea why he was passed up repeatedly in favor of other DE's? I just don't get it.

Im hoping for Hernandez, this guy is a beast. If for some insane reason not him, I really like Dwyer. This guy has a nose for yardage, very good up & down runner and does whatever it takes to move the chains.
