Tons of great players. I'd either ring up Andre Smith, Phil Loadholt, Mike Wallace (if his demands have dropped), Andy Levitre, and Dashon Goldson.

Goldson would be nice because not only does it help us, it also hurts the Niners. That guy can absolutely lay the wood, and he's excelled in coverage this year.

I went with Sam's old college teammate, Phil Loadholt. He is really developing as a RT and we would be getting him in his prime.

Besides if we can sign Loadholt then we won't be tempted to take a question mark like Fluker in the draft.

BTW does anyone know when the FA period officially opens this year?

Phil Loadholt would be the first call, he would be a huge upgrade and fill a need on the o line. Cut Hunter save 4 million and pay Phil Loadholt.

I voted for Moore, but if he gets franchised as reports this morning say, I would give some thought to calling Kenny Phillips agent. I'm not sure what our plans are for Mikell, but I don't want 2 rookie safeties out there for us next season. We can draft some developmental ones but have them learn from veterans.

Here's my only concern. If they pay Loadholt, and then Rodger Saffold has a good year, he'll want to be paid as much or more next year when his contract runs out. The Rams would then have to choose between paying Saffold, moving Loadholt to LT (which I don't think is his best fit), or letting Saffold go and taking a LT in the draft (which might not be a bad option).

Still, that's a risk I'm willing to take.

I don't think one good year would make Saffold salary rise out of control due to his injuries issues much like Amendola. It's a never ending cycle for sure.

Scratch Bowe and Branden Albert off. Bowe has a 5 yr deal, Albert got the franchise tag.

They slapped the franchise tag on Branden Albert as well.

I would have suggested pursuing Sebastian Vollmer until I read about his knee surgery, but not so much now. I'd probably go for Loadholt as well.

Speaking of the Pats, how would you guys feel if the Rams pursued Julian Edelman if Amendola isn't re-signed?
