Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Marcus Freeman OLB Ohio State. He could easily win the strongside LB spot and Him and The Animal were a great combination in college and can be in the NFL too. unless we can get him in the 4th.
Or maybe even Mitch King?Last edited by lostsoul; -04-26-2009 at 12:25 AM.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
For the record, while Barden is the guy I'd take, the one I think the Rams will take is Lawrence Sidbury.
He'd be a good pickup, as he is a very good prospect as a pass rusher. He might even be able to play some SLB on a situational basis.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Michael Johnson would be a great pick in 3rd. I like J. Gilbert DT also but to play DE not DT in the 3rd.
Take DE M. Johnson 1st.
Ramses Barden might be there in the 4th.
Then some NT/DT in 5th Vaughn Martin, Western Ontario and 7th Antonio Dixon, Miami rounds.
6th QB Brandstater.
Defence Builds Championships.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Barden got my vote, but I'd be happy with Williams, Iglasias or Louis Murphy. Another player of note is Michael Johnson. He's a slack athlete but with proper coaching (paging Mr. Spagnuolo) he may well learn how to utilise his immense talent.
Jarron Gilbert may well be worth a look.
The player that I'd be pleasantly surprised with is Jamon Meredith, to be an eventual starter at right tackle. Here's a guy who is a mid-second round talent who you could pencil in to square the OL away for a substantial amount of time.Last edited by Bar-bq; -04-26-2009 at 03:18 AM.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Derrick Williams for me. Great speed and versatility and also we get a kick return threat that we're currently lacking.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
I voted for Shonn Greene, as we need a back-up for SJax. However, I wouldn't be averse to either Iglesias or Johnson.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Take the highest ranked corner on our board and let him, King and Hill duke it out for starter.
I wouldn't be upset with a DE either.
We could always take one of the two MASSIVE bodied OGs and wave goodbye to the human flag machine, Ritchie Incognito. Knowing our luck with O-Line injuries it might pay to have some depth!!
In Devaney I Trust...

I think we'd go with some CB

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Was this poll made before the draft???
Because there were a few people that dropped that were supposed to be 1st/2nd rounder.
BPA is Micheal Johnson, yes he is more of a 3-4 guy but he can replace Little as a speed rusher.
DJ Moore also made it out of the 2nd round. He is a undersized but he is still physical and he is a OJ Atogwe type when it comes to INTs. Moore can also be a return man.
Jarron Gilbert is still there. He can play DE and DT that is great Spags substitution packages.
You mentioned a few WRs. But what about Louis Murphy he is about 6-3 and is a great leaper with good hands and he can get separation which is important in the NFL.
That is why i chose someone else in the poll. I think we should take Michael Johnson or DJ Moore. More Likely Michael Johnson for his nice speed off the edge. Or we can just trade this pick to the Raiders for a 2010 first rounder because Al Davis loves speed so much.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Everyone's sleeping on Rashad Johnson. He's great in coverage and apparently struggles a bit against the run. The story with most safeties coming out of college is that they're bad Vs. the pass and great vs the run, basically LB-SS hybrids. This guy is a CB-S hybrid and he's the guy I want in the third round.
NFL Draft Countdown has him as their 3rd best safety (ahead of Chung, who was already picked). He's supposed to be a smart DB and a great leader.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
ramses barden should be taken in round three beacuse we need some redzone and short yardage help at 6'6" he provides that. we dont have any reciever over 6 feet burton is the tallest at 5 11 1/2. then we can get DT help in round 4.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
I feel Ramses is more of a round 4-7 guy...There is still alot of depth on the WR chart. If a guy named Brian Hartline from OSU isn't even on the chart of ratings yet, there's some GOOD guys still here.

Re: Who should the Rams take in Round 3?
Laurent Robinson is 6'2''...What are you talking about?
We have a WR over 6 feet. Not that that is extremely tall, but most teams don't have anyone over six' two''.
