If we select Smith, the better run blocker of the two, we can plug him onto the right side for the time being, so Barron has someplace to play. However, if we get Monroe, the better pass blocker of the two, he's not really going to fit into the right side, and I don't want Barron BACK on the right side, and it's going to make a problematic situation.

My affinity for Curry is well documented, and Smith may well be an All-Pro.........but in the end DeSpags goes with the safest OT in the draft.


When the Rams select Monroe, it will make 3 years in a row, I've guessed the pick. If not for that little stinker Hill, it'd be 4 years in a row.

I'm Eugene Monroe through and through, but the Rams will take Jason Smith. I don't think they will pass up on his upside. We really don't know about Eugene Monroe's knees so if they really are bad that would definately hurt him
