Re: Who's in your five?
My fiancée, my mom, my friend Br--
Oh wait, you mean football.
Alphabetically, if I was forced to narrow it down to five...
Eric Berry (DB, Tennessee)
Jimmy Clausen (QB, Notre Dame)
Jake Locker (QB, Washington)
Gerald McCoy (DT, Oklahoma)
Ndamukong Suh (DT, Nebraska)
Honorable mention for Sam Bradford and Dez Bryant.

Re: Who's in your five?
I don't need 5, only need 3...
1. Ndamukong Suh
2. Dez Bryant
3. C.J. Spiller
Now if we let O.J. walk in order to save money then I say
4. Eric Berry
5. Colt McCoy-he's the most accurate of all the QB's, older, and probally ready to start on day one because of his maturity level, but I'd perfer we get a #2 QB in the 2nd round.

Re: Who's in your five?
In order of who I want:
1. Jake Locker
2. Ndamkong Suh
3. Gerald McCoy
4. Sam Bradford
5. Eric Berry
I have a feeling I'm going to be flip-flopping on Suh and McCoy throughout the whole process...I've left Clausen out because, quite simply, there is something about him that I don't like. I don't know what it is, but there is a vibe I get from him when I watch him play that tells me he isn't a franchise QB. It has nothing to do with Quinn being sub-par in Cleveland, I just feel like he is somewhat a product of the great talent around him, he is inconsistent with both his pocket presence and his touch on the football, and he hasn't been able to take over games and propel ND to victories. That is such an underrated quality of a QB, so his intangibles are downgraded in that aspect for me...I prefer both Locker and Bradford ahead of Clausen.

Re: Who's in your five?
This just adds to my opposition against taking this guy. Possible four pillars questions surrounding him? He was busted as a freshmen for buying alcohol for underage patrons (I think that's what it was). From all the things I've seen saying he's grown up a lot, it looks like he still needs to mature quite a bit. Give me Locker and Bradford instead. From David Kaplan, WGN-AM 720: Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was involved in a fight outside a South Bend bar early Sunday morning, according to a report Monday evening by WGN-AM's David Kaplan.
According to Kaplan, Clausen has two black eyes from the altercation at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The incident comes on the heels of the Irish's overtime loss to Connecticut, their fifth of the season, leaving Notre Dame at 6-5.
The Clausen report isn't news Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis wants to hear as he faces his own scrutiny with a final game at Stanford Saturday. Athletic director Jack Swarbrick is expected to decides Weis' fate at the school early next week.
The Tribune's Brian Hamilton reports that a South Bend police spokesman said Monday no police reports were filed over the weekend that involved Clausen. The particulars of the confrontation are thus unclear, though a person answering the phone at CJ's, the bar in question, said the incident "absolutely did not take place inside the bar."Last edited by Nick; -11-24-2009 at 11:03 AM. Re: Who's in your five?
well i can come up with 5 and 3 others that have If`s attached to them..i know that adds up to 8..
Locker
Clausen
Suh (would be higher but may not be used as an every down player with Spags rotation)
Gerald McCoy (same situation as Suh)
Bryant
If`s
Bradford-If shoulder tested out good to go..he would go top of my list.
Gresham-if ACL tested out and good to go..he would replace Bryant.
Berry-if Atogwe walks, but even then i would only put him 5th on the list instead of Bryant and if Gresham`s ACL dont test out to be good to go..
one player i really dont want more than any other is Brandon Spikes...i can accept a woman eye gouging a more physically powerful man,if the man had attacked her..but under any other circumstances..its low-life cowardice thing to do and i cant stand sports people who do it..

Re: Who's in your five?
Suh
Clausen
Berry
Bryant
Locker
I would be up for taking a defensive playmaker instead of a QB if we have a chance at Colt in the second or Tebow in the third.

Re: Who's in your five?
Much like Tex, I have adjusted my five upon watching the big 12 championship, it is
1. Suh
2. Ndamukong Suh
3. King Kong Suh
4. Suuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh
5. N Dominator Suh
Quarterback? We don't need no stinking first round quarterback.
(crosses fingers Colt McCoy is there in the second)

Re: Who's in your five?
Way to crash my Jimmy Claussen bandwagon Suh.

Here's the problem with Suh you guys might think he is perfect, but if the Rams aren't picking first we aren't getting him.
