Will the Rams draft a QB?

I've seen a lot of mock drafts both on this site and 7-round ones elsewhere that have the Rams picking a mid-late round QB. Obviously Fisher and Snead have reiterated that Bradford is the qb and I believe them. The status of Kellen Clemens is closely correlated to draft plans, too.

So anyway, will the Rams draft a QB and if so, who and when?

The answer to "will they" is likely "yes."

The answer to "when" is hard to say.

I don't see the Rams even considering taking a QB in Round 1, and probably not Round 2.

After that, they could pull the trigger if the right guy is there. It would not surprise me, though, if they wait until Round 6 or 7.

    Doubtful.
Unless you get an NFL ready prospect and put him as your #2 QB on the team, why? If you put Andy Murray as your #2, wait for the screams of horror if Bradford limps off the field.
A late round prospect who needs grooming is going to be the #3 and if he's that low, he's likely never getting enough practice time to develop. May as well just get an undrafted free agent.

I'd say, with all those picks, including comps picks, it's a pretty sure thing the Rams tale a QB, possibly as high as round four Mettenberg, Murray, Thomas, Fales, Boyd, Brett Smith, ar e the guys they might target.

Mettenberg and Thomas seem to be the best to develop, though Mettenberg is still recovering from being njured right now. Murray too.

A Dark horse is Connor Shaw, from S. Carolina. Spurrier has been very vocal about his talent and makeup.

Love Logan Thomas rounds 4-5 ---- has everything to be a starter, just needs the time.....

...except the talent. Logan Thomas has never posted a season's completion percentage above 60% and when he played Alabama (the closest thing to an NFL defense you can argue) he went a whopping 5 for 26. That's a 19% completion percentage for 59 total yards. His last two years he had a 34-29 TD to Int ratio...idk if you could tell but I'm not too high on Thomas.

If the Rams do add a QB through the draft I wouldn't mind seeing David Fales or Aaron Murray as late round picks. I would be most excited though if they picked up Keith Price in round 6 or 7

I'm with AV. I think the answer is likely. I put the Rams grabbing a caller anywhere in rds 4-7, or undrafted FA in round "8" if they bet a guy they like will fall out of the draft.

Clemons has very limited shelf life and the Austin Davis project washed out in a catastrophic sophomore slump... so there's definitely room for a young caller on the team.

Fishead is going to want one.... and the draft (or undrafted fa) is the cheapest way to go

They better draft a QB. Having the 2nd pick in the draft gives them plenty of QB's to pick from too.
I see alot of mocks having the RAMS pick a QB in the later rounds, HOGWASH!!! Use the 2nd pick and let's get a franchise QB in here for cripes sake!!!

I really like Jimmy Garoppolo but unless the Rams trade down to secure some more picks I wouldn't be comfortable taking him in the 2nd round. I also like Connor Shaw, just seems like a smart kid who could hurt you with his arm and his legs

Jimmy Garoppolo is a popular choice for us as a developemental guy, but I prefer A.J. McCarren. Sadly I think he showed too dang much at the combine and will be zapped up in the 2nd round. Before most of us think the Rams pull the trigger on our future back up. Drats! I cannot wait to see who we target for the 2nd QB spot and I would rather pin my hopes on one of these rookies than on KC again. I cannot take another season of watching him lead our team! OH Gads Noooooooooo....

    Yes we will.

I would prefer Murray, McCarron, or Garappolo but intrigued by Thomas despite his lackluster college career.
