Would you draft DE Carlos Dunlap with first pick in second round?

Would you fellow Ram fans want Rams to draft DE C. Dunlap with the first pick in the second round?

I think the Rams need a DE oppisite of DE Chris Long more than a DT.

If he falls I hope they pull the plug on him. The way Spags motivates players I don't think he will be a slacker. If he is a slacker like DE J. Peppers we did a good job by drafting him.

I agree with you that a DE is more important to the Rams than a DT. But having said that, it depends on who else is available. There are multiple DEs in this draft that would be possible round 2 choices.

Definitely would be in the conversation, but Long and Dunlap are both kinda LE's

i`d give him consideration but theres reasons why his stock is slipping..it would depend on who is still available and not just at DE..tho i agree with DE being a bigger need than DT and he could potentially be the guy who allows Long to switch over to LDE.

Edit: i forgot about the DUI charge...1 year probabtion over his/potentially our heads... not the type i would want to give millions to in the hope that he wises up.

After seeing multiple clips of him playing, I would have to agree with you. Bad burst off the line, taken out of the play often by the man he is lined up against, bad angles on the RB during pitch plays. I was going off the info that some friends of mine who are Florida fans gave me. Turns out they were wrong

physically he's awesome, i don't know about the rest but he's worth a look anyways.

Defensive end is, in my opinion, our biggest position of need as, Chris Long excepted, we have no long-term options there. It is for that reason that I'd like to see us draft the best DE available at number thirty-three.

As has already been pointed out, Dunlap has all of the physical attributes but lacks drive. If our brains trust are impressed by his interviews and convinced that he can turn the corner and become the player he promises to be, then he'd have to enter calculations, although I'd hope that Everson Griffen falls to us.

As we hold the top pick of the second round, the first pick on the friday, i would prefer to lure someone into trading for him and move back in the second round for an extra pick in a later round, rather than drafting him ourselves.

No, i do not want to take Vernon Gholston...woops, i meant Carlos Dunlap, at the top of the second.

either..

Take Suh and either pickup a DE in FA, or draft one or two in the later rounds that will work in Spags system.

or

Take Bradford in first, and get a DE in the 2nd that isnt Dunlap.
