Who'd offer that? Mike Ditka?
All of that for a guy who is going to be a free agent at the end of this season? I don't see that happening anytime soon.
WHAT SAY YE?
Close it, actually happened.Quote:

The team getting him would have 48 HRs to sign him to a long term deal.Quote:

I think you would be nuts to say no to that deal.
I doubt it would ever come up, but if it did I'd take it.
While I wouldn't be able to replace Jax with certainty with any of those picks, I have two huge reasons why I would kill anyone who wouldn't take that offer. Then I'll tell you what I would trade him for.
First reason: No RB is worth that many picks. Ever. I don't care if you're the frankenstein monster of Bo Jackson, Marshall Faulk, LT, Dickerson, Sanders and Chuck Norris. Not worth it. Ok, maybe if he was part Chuck Norris.
Second reason: I happily take Run DMC at #2 and go about my business with all of your draft picks.
What I would trade Jax for? First and second rounder this year, first next year. That's for a team in the mid round range. If you're in the top 10, maybe not the 2nd rounder. If you're in the bottom 10, give me next year's 2nd as well.
shoot, I'd trade Dez for those picks.....
:)
Here is what happen in 1989 "The Trade"
Notes taken From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaQuote:
The Herschel Walker Trade also known as "The Trade" was the largest player trade in the history of the National Football League. The trade involved 18 players and/or draft picks. The trade was made on October 12, 1989 between the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings.
Minnesota Vikings Received:
RB Herschel Walker
Dallas's 3rd round pick - 1990 (54) (Mike Jones)
San Diego's 5th round pick - 1990 (116) (Reggie Thornton)
Dallas's 10th round pick - 1990 (249) (Pat Newman)
Dallas's 3rd round pick - 1991 (68) (Jake Reed)
[edit] Dallas Cowboys Received:
LB Jesse Solomon
LB David Howard
CB Issiac Holt
RB Darrin Nelson (traded to San Diego after he refused to report to Dallas)
DE Alex Stewart
Minnesota's 1st round pick in 1990 (21) (Emmitt Smith)
Minnesota's 2nd round pick in 1990 (47) (Alexander Wright)
Minnesota's 6th round pick in 1990 (158) (traded to New Orleans, who drafted James Williams)
Minnesota's 1st round pick in 1991 (conditional) - (11) (Pat Harlow)
Minnesota's 2nd round pick in 1991 (conditional) - (38) (Darryll Lewis)
Minnesota's 2nd round pick in 1992 (conditional) - (37) (Darren Woodson)
Minnesota's 3rd round pick in 1992 (conditional) - (71) (traded to New England, who drafted Kevin Turner)
Minnesota's 1st round pick in 1993 (conditional) - (13) (traded to Philadelphia Eagles, and then to the Houston Oilers, who drafted Brad Hopkins)
I still say Dez is worth a few more picks.....
All day long! Every day! Twice on Sundays!!
I tried that on Madden and he told me I was an idiot to think that would work.
I'd trade Peyton Manning for that.
