Would you make the trade Part Deux

If Washington called, would you trade the #13 pick for RG3 assuming the Redskins pick up a little of his cap space?

(because you all ignored me in the other thread)

I would say no. Not sure why we would or they would do that.

No. Too many really good players we can get that fill real needs at 13 or add superior depth. If we go QB I want to keep it at 3 or 4, develop him, and if Sam busts this yr have that person ready to go.

Yea, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with.......no.

Does a new pair of knees come with him?

    ...ha just kidding.

While I like the idea of being able to trade a single first round pick for the player that the Rams acquired three first round picks for (and were able to turn into many multiple picks with add'l trade downs), I'm not completely sold on the need for replacing Bradford to outweigh the value of the #13 pick.

So I would rather stick with Bradford and use the pick to improve the team in other areas.

As one example, would you rather have Bradford and a blue chip rookie Safety, or have RGIII, Bradford, and Shaun Hill and be stuck trying to trade Bradford with his huge baggage of a contract? Or worse, get hit with enormous dead cap money by cutting him?

    I highly favor the former.

So it's okay to use the #2 draft pick to get an OT project to replace Jake Long after next season....
But to use the #13 pick to get a rookie of the year QB who took his team to the playoffs is too much? Maybe I should have tossed in an assumed contract extension for RG3.

I just find it hilarious how quickly people turn on players and how much we over value draft picks. There were a few people who tried to claim the Rams should have traded Bradford and taken RG3 at #2 at the time. Now that he's proven to be a playoff caliber QB, he's worth LESS.

There were people who claimed Blackmon was worthy of the #2 or #6 pick in the draft and now they won't move down 1 pick from #2 to acquire him.

People just always want to say they are always right.

    I will say though:
I always wanted Warner over Bulger
    Didn't want RG3
I did want Blackmon though, thank god we didn't get him
I also wanted Morris Claiborne, glad that didn't happen.
