Its way too early to answer this question.

To me, it comes down to whether the Rams have a shot at an "elite" player. Right now, while I have some thoughts on who might qualify for that category, its too soon to say for certain.

I do think that, unlike prior regimes, the current Front Office will be proactive and creative when it comes to options like this, and I think that can benefit the team greatly.

I agree it's too early to tell but this regime would definitely consider it.

The biggest obstacle against this in my opinion is the draft class. There just aren't enough big names coming out that teams are going to be selling the future to leap frog. IMHO.

I say no. While it's way too early to tell, I still think the Rams will have a good shot at someone special near the top of the draft.

This class doesn't appear to be as deep as last years. I will take two top tier talents. Pundits (though rarely right) are saying past the first half of the first their is a drop in the level of talent. I'll take two "elite" prospects over four "solid" prospects.

Yes and hope you can trade one of those lower 1s for proven talent at a position of need.

As far as I can see at this VERY early stage it looks to me that outside the top 6 talent starts to level off. With 2-3 elite players inthere, then there's always a QB or two amongst the 6

I voted yes, we can move back and still get players of need in the first round and pick up more talent later in the draft. Might even do it for a third.

How about Manti Te'o around 15 plus a second.

How about Barrett Jones or Chance Warmack around 20 -25 plus a second.

How about Eric Reid around 15 -20 plus a second.

How about Jake Matthews around 15 plus a second.

If the skins lose out and we have a top five pick who is there that we would stay to take?

Here are a few that maybe top five. Not sure taking Star at all and that high would go over well if at all. Jones is a stud but does he fit? Luke Joeckel would make sense, but Rogers looked great last Sunday.

True, but what are the chances of us getting them when there are likely to be more competitive teams pursuing them with the same money? Unless our 'young talent ready for playoffs+Bradford" speech is going to attract them.

you don't know that more competitive teams will pursue them or have the same money. Unless you know all of these teams cap space and GM that's impossible to assume.

Either way it doesn't change the fact you can't trade for someone who is a free agent.

The Rams now have the 13th and 15th picks in the draft. If the picks stay in that general range, I would not be too quick to make a trade, as I think the value in the first round may be in the 10-20 range.
